  • any deals on 2TB?

    • -2

      Or 3tb?

      • +2

        5.7TB pls

        • +3

          Or twelve parsecs?

  • +7

I think SE and Futu are the same entity arent they?

Good price though… best it’s been?

    • Yes, I heard that too.

    • +2

Definitely they are the same entity, I bought a galax gtx 1070ti from FUTU, it came in a shopping express marked parcel box.

    • +1

Yeah I bought Samsung SSD from futu and it came in a shopping express box.

  • Wow great price !!

  • -1

What about the 960 pro?? Been waiting ages for a good deal on that one

  • +1

Isn't this the regular ebay price?

  • Will this work in a MacBook pro?

    • Might work with an adapter, best to google your model number to find out if anyone else has done it before.

      • Nah, it won't unfortunately. The adaptors are only for the Macbook SSD to M.2, you can't go the other way around because even if such an adaptor existed, it wouldn't be able to fit.

  • Dont think this one fits the dell xps 13, can anyone confirm?

    • -2

Should be alright, but the one in the xps 13 is already fast af, so whyyyy?

      • only have 256gb in my one

        • -1

What do you do man? i've got the 256 gb one as well and I haven't even gone past 50% of usage. It's a device that isn't capable of gaming and not powerful enough to do high data volume applications……

I'm assuming you're looking for the extra storage? If so, why not get a Type C ssd.

Careful with this shopping express clearance goys.
Last time I purchased the 3 TB Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM008 because of the rating and performance ranked 2nd on HDDuserbenchmark.

It's clearly mentioned on their ebay webstore that the 3TB version of this is ST3000DM008 not ST3000DM007 (They just put Note:3TB model swapped , no difference, but theres a difference when I did some google-fu). Opened my device manager and surprised that it's 007 instead of 008. Dissapointed and asked them to give me the pdf of RMA. Doesn't want to admit that it was their mistake and saying theres no difference between those 2 model. Then proceed to show them the difference between the 2 and tell them that I won't accept the 007 as I was very afraid that theres a big possibility for data loss according to Blackblaze 3TB seagate 40% HDD failure article

    • And what happened in the end? Did they allow you to return it?

      • +2

        Still waiting until now.
I know it's petty thing (only 1 number difference between the 2) but it's actually not based on reddit

        PS:
They just put the note right after I mentioned the difference with them through DM

        • Have you seen the latest stats from Backblaze? Nothing specific to that model, but very interesting.

          https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-drive-stats-for-2017/

        • @syousef:

Yes I was aware with that article.
I actualy hesitate to buy seagate barracuda especially 3TB version but the very well review from HDDuserbenchmark regarding the 3TB seagate barracuda ST3000DM008 told me otherwise. But ST3000DM007 not really , never heard of this HDD, thats why Im scared to death when I noticed it in device manager. Sneaky basterd

Definitely be careful with Shopping Express.

I caught them out for mistaken advertising during one of their hourly deals. Basically the advertisement they were sending out, one of the products had the wrong time listed, and on the website it was reflecting a different time (the correct time). Called them out on it, and emailed them. They ignored me.

They have decent products and prices sometimes, but their service? I dunno.

Haven't shopped there since. Also I bought a hard drive from them that was shoddily packed. Only go there if you really need the products at marginally reduced prices.

    • Wow, that's unacceptable.

Go to Consumer Affairs equivalent in your state, let them fight the government instead of you.

      • It's no biggies,
        not worth the effort

Just going to return and get the refund
Gonna be really aware with them next time , won't buy from them unless if its the only option

Then it's not exactly the same drive if it's the 950 EVO from the previous model SATA chipset drive range. This is the 960 EVO NVMe chipset not the 950 EVO SATA chipset. You're comparing an old SATA based M.2 drive to a new much faster NVMe based M.2 drive too. In no way is this exactly the same drive.

      Cool story bro

      Compares SSD to Rock….

      • SSD, floppy disk, it's all the same shit bro.

  • +1

I bought a similar model HDD years ago! So much more expensive. It was around $4000 for 64mb. That was probably 30 years ago. Although it was the IBM 0665. Slower, heaps slower haha

  • Where are the 1TB deals? ;)

    • I don't think you'll find an M.2 1TB deal coming up very often at all.

      • I know, that's why I'm asking and it would be nice to get one :p

  • Any cheap 256gb ones?
