$5 Wilson Australian Open 4 Pack Tennis Balls at Target (In-Store)

1150

These are the official Wilson balls of the Australian Open.

Pretty sure they are only discounted because Aus open changed their logo recently and this has the old logo. Probably not going to matter anyways if you are wacking it around and is good to easily identify your own ball.

Cheapest it has ever been:

Great find, can easily price match at rebel if that's more convenient.

Good tennis players only need one ball. Anyone want to go quarters in on this?

    • +11

I'm quite good at tennis but I'd like to be better - do you think I should have one removed?

      • +1

        One is enough.

    • I'm actually interested if you are being serious, if so - we'll need 2 other people :D

  • There is definitely a playbility difference with the new balls.

Regular tennis players will notice a slight heaviness and durability with the new balls. Slight but noticable.

But for the majority of people these are a great bargain.

    • That's what my new girlfriend said.

Those are some hairy balls there

    • Plenty of places that will wax them for you…

  • good quality balls that last….. for my dog. I always get good quality balls because reject shop ones break in one day for the dog

Im new to Wilson, my dog can destroy a tennis ball in 15 minutes. I found a Wilson ball on the beach and 4 weeks later it's still complete.

      • A Wilson ball on the beach? It wasn't Wiiiiiiilllllsssssooooon was it?

  • Good quality balls at this price, they're difficult to beat. Their play-ability is slightly inferior to the Slazenger ones, but slightly superior in terms of durability.

Do tennis balls expire? I want a pack for when I go to a tropical resort that has a tennis court and free racquets but charge for balls!

    • They come in a pressurised can so they don't lose their bounce.

  • These are good balls to start playing with. If you only have a hit once a year, you're not going to notice much difference to the "championship"/"duty" balls that usually sell at this price. But if you're trying to practice and learn, it will help massively if you have consistency in the characteristics of the ball and height of the bounce. I prefer these to the Slazenger balls as I feel I can control them slightly better. Control as many variables as you can when you're learning.

  • Rebel is happy to price match. I got 10 cans from Rebel in WA.

  • This offer is in store only. Please update..

Not that great a price seeing they are already open.

      Campbelltown has stock.

Castle Hill, Hornsby, and Bankstown has limited stock.

  • Despite saying Low stock at Target Marion (SA) was there today and they had none.

  • +1

Yep. Just grabbed 5 from Rebel in Sydney CBD near Apple Store on George St. They are happy to price match.

There's about 9 tins left on the shelf

    • Thank you for this info. I just bought 12 cans from that store.

  • Target Chadstone shows "limited stock" but was there today and the staff there were none and they don't remember ever seeing them in store. Went to Rebel to price match and the guy pointed out that these ones from Target are actually slightly different and they refused to price match. Hope this helps somebody planning to head to Chadstone
