  • Are they better than AGL ?

    • Good reviews on productreview.com.au (compared with other energy companies). I'm with Momentum and have been happy with them but I'm considering switching for this credit. Just hoping a few more people post on their experiences with Click (before I make the switch)

I'm with Momentum as well. Last time I checked their price was still cheapest overall even when taking into account discounts etc from the other suppliers. It will of course vary from person to person - depending on how much power you use, where you live, if you have solar and feed back anything, when you actually use power, what plan you go on etc etc etc. I'd also consider how the company treats their customers - my previous supplier was Origin, and I wouldn't consider going back to them even if they paid me.

        • I’m with momentum too, quite happy. I was impressed when they sent me a letter saying they were increasing rates but as an existing customer even wih the increased rate I was paying less than new customers.

I thought that sounded the complete opposite of what these companies normally do so I logged in and checked and what they were saying was legit. My rate was lower than their current rates and their current rates would still have been the cheapest of any company. Very impressive.

If you check the reviews carefully you will notice the positive are very short and say how wonderful their customer support is, it's all a bit suss.

I got burned with these guys jacking up the rates 3x in one year - never again

    • just checked. im with agl and 32% on time. i put in the exact figures and click was 200 more. worse than agl

Personal experience : last year I had to chase them by email for 3 months and threaten ombudsman action before they will give me the sign up credit at 12 months. They are also much more expensive than other providers in my area.

Same. Dreadful customer service. I had to call countless times to get the first bonus payment from them. Every time I called I had to explain everything to them from the start and they would treat me as if I was wrong.

They kept telling me they had been CS operators and they were just learning - for 6 months! That's how long it took to get $50. I moved afterwards.

      Avoid.

I've switch out of them twice. Don't be fooled by the reviews on Productreview. Their discounts only happen in the next month. When you switch out, you will lose the last month's discount.

Also, check out their Fact Sheets. What they currently show you may not necessary be the best rates available. An "inconspicuous" link can be found at the bottom of the page.

Not a fan of them anymore with these kind of business ethics.

Just clicked on the link. "Simple, easy to understand energy".
In order to get a quote, I need to put my details. Yeah, nah.
There are 14 electricity price sheets for Qld (and another 2 for business).

Electricity is a commodity. In Qld it's simple. Switch to Alinta for the 28% pay on time discount. Then your existing provider with call asking why you've switched. Ended up with 30% off with AGL, as their daily charges are slightly higher than Alinta.

Their prices are comparatively higher, I have switched from click to origin a month ago.

Check out GloBird for Electricity. Have been happy with them.

  • They where the most expensive. As in 11c per kwh.. in live in Sydney, can't find more competition than this… cost me $470 more
..a big big no from me!

  • +1

Click are the worst. Just left them for AGL and they refused to give me my normal 27% discount for the last bill..

    • +1

What ! Not that too now….
They promised me they would provide the $90 discount.
I had 4 bills in 3 months and worse 3 rate increases! What the hell

  • +1

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I'll probably stick with my current provider then :)

  • Just based on my conversations with their sales reps.. I would say stay away!

  • Their bills are also useless, many areas left blank including usage. I can also no longer log into my online account, apparently my user name does not exist.. Even though it hasn't changed. Agree that their rates have increased significantly. Looking to change now.

  • The coupon code "WINTER" is better for a few reasons:

    1. $25 off each gas and electricity bill for 6 months.
    2. Allows you to stay with this dodgy electricity provider for LESS time to avoid bill shock
