If only the 6GB one was 40% off. Doesn't look too worth it compared to the previous deals that have been put up in the past couple of months

    • +9

Buy the $4.90 23GB sim then recharge with the $205.60 existing customers 6GB one.

But yeah it's not as good as the BOGOF one of course.

Our maybe buy from ebay. I bought 16gb one for $206 with 10% off ebay deal

      • +1

What is the code for this? 10% off $254.30 is 230 ish ?

  • +5

RIP buy one get one free

    • Hope they going to bring the deal back again, now my son and in law wants, perfect when you have 2 who wants to switch.

    • +1

Yup the wife and I got in on that, ridiculous value.

      • same, can't agree more, when on top you get 50 off 120 from ebay for $10
much like $10 per month for 6GB

    • the best part they upgraded the 6gb plan to 7gb

  • Can we use a $50 off $120 spend voucher?

    • Where you get that ?

    • I would think so.

    • +2

Actually I read you can't stack the $20 and $30 vouchers anymore. There's someone on gumtree selling one for $10. Could I just buy that and use the $30 voucher saving me $20?

    • There's a few $30 off $120 vouchers on ebay. Surely that would work?

    • Can someone confirm if it's working or not?

    • Yes you can, I did it with no problems. I bought the $50 Kogan voucher off ebay for $17 it came as 2 vouchers, one was $20 and the other $30 and they stacked fine.

      • they stacked fine.

        not anymore apparently.

  • Just to confirm, if I'm on an existing plan that expires in September, do I need to use the voucher before it expires in 31/07? Do I just lose the last 2 months or does it just add 1 more year to my total? Thanks.

    • +6

You'll need to call them up. They'll refund the unused portion, and then apply your new voucher code you want to recharge. Do not use their online recharge page, you'll lose your unused portion.

      • Thanks, appreciate the heads up!

    • +1

From what I know, you can't refund a plan that is on the same value.
Well that's what I was told anyways, you could only get a refund if you were upgrading plans

      • Correct.

Just called up and they told me they don't offer refunds for recharging early. Only if you upgrade to a plan with more data then they will refund the remaining from the existing plan.

        • Is that by buying the new plan over the phone ie price - refund or can you use pre paid voucher over the phone and get refund

Q: Can I upgrade my existing plan by buying a new Voucher code?

          A:Yes, absolutely!

You can upgrade your account by buying a Voucher code. Once your recharge is completed, kindly call 12612 (Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm AEST) and we will help you with the refund for the remaining unused days on your account.

Also, you'll get 10 QFF pt per $1 spent if you buy in the next couple of days (end of Wednesday?).

  • Not a bad price. Pity they teamed up with Vodafone though..

On average (not per Kogan's 30 day)

    2GB Small 365 Day Plan $152.10 : $12.675/mo
    6GB Medium 365 Day Plan $223.90 : $18.658/mo
    16GB Large 365 Day Plan $254.30: $21.192/mo
    23GB Extra Large 365 Day Plan $315.10 : $26.258/mo

    • Glad bought the buy one get one free for 6 GB one for around $130.

  • How long do these deals usually last?

    • +1
      • Purchased before 11:59pm AEST 30/06/2018 unless sold out prior or extended.
      • Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEST on 31/07/2018. Recharge must be made before the voucher expiry date.
    • They have these deals probably every two months.

  • Time to recharge

  • Just a question , if you plan is due to expire day June 10 and you buy one now, and recharge does it add on to the end of now, or June 10 .

Hypothetically one could just wait till June 10 , but just to get it out of the way

    • Recharge and call for a refund if your upgrading the plan to a higher tier, if it is the same tier you forfeit the remaining months… not speaking from experience just what I read above. thanks

    • any confirmation on this?

  • Before I buy - can anyone confirm that a Kogan gift card via Woolworths is still accepted for this deal? Seems to be possible via the evoucher at the checkout

    • +1

yes of course as this is purchased on kogan.com not koganmobile.com.au

      • thought so, thanks!

  • currently am useing 30gb per month, kogan had on special late last year found speed can be very slow around 5mbps and upload around 1.5 mbps

Has anyone successfully activated and ported an existing number? During Step 2 of 5 it just hangs and does not render the page. I've done this on 3 different browsers and devices. The POS site returns a 404 on some CSS. Keen to hear from others.

    • It's so dodgy. I have been trying to activate my sim for 2 days and they keep saying it will be resolved soon. Still haven't been able to get past Step 2.

    • Is existing number activation working yet?

  • Don't buy this deal. It's a dodgy phone company. I signed up and paid for my sim, only to get to the activation step and not be able to progress past "Step 2 - About You". I called and they say it would be fixed yesterday but it's still not fixed over a day later. I have wasted $254 and probably won't ever be able to use this because they never allow you to actually register your sim - there is no way to progress past "Step 2 - About You". Save your money people.

    • Yeah I've had the same issue. I called them up and they just said it's going through some bs update or something. Also there's either a ton of people calling or they literally only have one person at the call center, but I had to wait more than 30 mins to get connected only to be told they can't do anything about it. Their customer service is appalling.

    • I just tried to activate and the same thing happened. Have you activate yours by now?

  • wow i really expected this to be resolved by now.
guess ill have to find an alternative.

  • So what alternative is there to this. I am with kogan and around town it is fine…Leave town and you get bugger all…but we all knew this I suppose..

  • Hi All,

I have a 6gb Kogan mobile annual sim that I bought during the BOGOF period. Was original meant for mum, but I have since found a cheaper deal with much less data which would be more suited for her usage.

PM me if interested, I'll sell it for $150.

I bought it on 2nd May so there's still a few more days to activate it within the 30 day period.

    Cheers
