  • Does this work with Google home?

    • +1

Yes, I have this attached to under my bed and tell my Google Home every night to turn it off.

      • Hmm.. out of curiosity, can you tell Google Home to turn it off automatically based on time preference? Like, "turn Yeelight strip off between 6am and 10pm"

    • +3

Yes, if you use the Singapore server.

      • Correct, use the yeelight app, set to singapore server and away you go!

    • No issues with 2 of these strips and 2 Xiaomi lamps working with my google home mini

  • Added 2x to my cart applied coupon, $61 US, $85 AU

So I guess it's max of one per order?

    • Correct. 1 per order.

    • Gearbest is shady but I got two yeelight strips and a yeelight bulb for a good price. I got all three for $100 aud

  • US plug?

  • +1

    Awesome, thanks Clear!

Was just thinking I need a third one.

  • How can i get this to run off a battery?

    • Buy a UPS.

Or you could cut the power plug off and then connect the wires of the led strip to a 12v battery (check that they use 12v - I think they do)

  • code doesnt work

    • Me too, not working? Look like special price has sold out

  • +3

@clear can you please do another deal? Really keen.

    • Back in stock.

      • Ahh that sucks I did not get any motivation that you commented and now I missed out again!!

  • I can’t believe I miss out on this

  • +9

I'll ask for an extension when they're back on Monday.

    • Thank you! Please do, the sale was gone instantly

Rep can we have a deal on Xiaomi xiaofang please?

    • How did you go @Clear?

      • It's 9:39am in China so it's far too early for me to have something from them.

        • Thanks for the prompt update!!!

        • @unistudent1: Try now.

        • @Clear:
Thanks Clear - It worked. I purchased two!!!

Now I need some more help…

Can you please recommend the best and cheapest way to plug this into AUS Wall sockets?

I don't have any other International plug devices, therefore, I won't be needing the Xiamoi Power Strip that you posted earlier.

          Thanks

        • +1

@unistudent1: Only other way is to use an international adapter. The reason I recommend the Xiaomi is because it won't sit hanging off the wall socket.

        • @Clear:

I really appreciate the prompt responses and the assistance in getting the deal up again for the second time

          Keep it up!!!

  • I know it’s expired, but for next time - do you need to buy a controller or something? Or is this a self contained thing with built in wifi - like the Yeelight bulb?

    • You just need the Yeelight or Mi Home app and wifi

You only need the hub if you want to use Xiaomi switches with it.

  • +1

I have been waiting for these for months to come back on sale and I missed it again!
I want to change my yeelight for the yeestrip on my HTPC !
    Next time!

  • Does it work if your locale is set to China Mainland??

    • It won’t work at this stage

  • Offer expired :(

  • wow that was quick

  • Arghhhh just as i need this for my new kitchen install! Hope we can get another code!

  • Is it correct in saying this light connects to wifi and is controlled via an app so I could not be home and turn it on and off?

Would definitely purchase if the offer is up and running again.

    • Yes, correct.

Also, offer is up and running again for limited time.

      • Thanks.

Damn, I took to long to check back and missed it.

Back in stock with limited pcs available. Currently <48.

  • Tempting but still waiting for this to drop below $25. I paid AU$24 last October.

  • Nabbed 2 thanks op

  • Thanks Clear, got my 3rd lightstrip. These things are cool.

  • +1

    A couple of questions:

Can you extend the light strip? 2 meters might be a bit short for my needs. If yes, does it have to be Yeelight as well?

Can you tell Google Home to turn it on/off based on time preference (i.e. off between 6am and 10pm)

    • I too would like to know whether or not you can extend this.

  • Been waiting months for these to be discounted, thanks OP!

  • Any chance of another discount Clear?

  • I'm hoping this one comes around again soon - I keep missing it.
