On the House is an online platform which offers members complimentary tickets to various arts events including theatre productions, comedy festivals and movies.

The website offers two levels of membership; bronze and gold. Bronze is free, however tickets to each event have a $10 admin fee and not all events are available to bronze members. Gold membership costs $55.90 and includes 6 month of access to all tickets on the website. There is no admin fee for tickets as a gold member

Currently they are offering new gold members guaranteed tickets to either;
- Swan Lake on Ice on 25/07/2018 at 8pm. Double Pass. These tickets are worth minimum $170.80!
- Ramin Karimloo in Concert on 23/06/2018 at 8pm. Double Pass. These tickets are worth minimum $132!

To claim the offer;
1. Sign up for a $55.90 gold membership
2. Email [email protected] and advise of which show you'd like to attend
3. Tickets will be available for you at the box office on night of the event
NOTE: If you miss out on the tickets after joining you are guaranteed a refund so there is nothing to lose

    Looks suspicious to me. Why can't we just get tickets delivered instead of getting them on site?

      The tickets are valued at over $150 on average, so you are welcome to get them from respective ticketing agents- but it wont be a bargain as you'll pay full price instead of a $55.90 membership fee (which allows you free access to countless more events over a 6 month period).

      The event suppliers offer complimentary tickets to On the House to distribute to members, as On the House offers excellent free marketing to the events, especially obscure ones which mightn't be well known about otherwise.

      I renewed my $55.90 membership in March this year, since then I have received tickets to;
      1. Transitions Film Festival where I saw Albatross the movie RRP $40
      2. Tales of the Silk Road, a concert at the Opera House RRP $160
      3. Real Bodies the Exhibit, RRP $90
      4. Ramin Karimloo in Concert tickets $132 RRP
      So in total I have already saved $366. And its only been 2 months.

      It's a good deal with a guaranteed money back if you don't get the tickets you want. Can pay for membership through Paypal, so if anything goes wrong can get money back ;)

      It seems On the House has been promoted through ozbargain before. So I was able to prove its legit, which should qualm your fears!

      If you read to the bottom of this post it shows people did get tickets through the site and had a wonderful time.

    So paying $55.90 to join the Gold membership will guarantee 2 free tickets to Ramin Karimloo's concert (at State Theatre), and if the tickets run out then the $55.90 membership fee will be fully refunded? What seats are these free tickets in? Are they right at the back, or are they decent seats?

      Yes On the House Guarantees 2 free tickets to Ramin Karimloo on 23/06 at 8pm. If you miss out, money will be refunded.
      You pay membership with Paypal, so if anything goes wrong you have Paypals full protection.
      Seat Locations are not yet known, but the purpose is to promote the event and theatre, so generally tickets are in a good location. I have attended 20+ events with on the House and never been dissatisfied with my seats.
      But- Even at the lowest price tier for fee-paying seats, tickets are $65 each- so with On the house you will be saving at least 50% not including all the other wonderful events you will get the opportunity to attend with your gold membership!

        It's just that the process of sending an email to an iCloud email address. rather than a more 'official' email address like their enquiry email address [email protected] seems rather fishy

          SA is the only state where we still have a couple tickets left unfortunately. Hopefully you can make it in Adelaide, it's guaranteed to be a spectacular show

          There are 2 other events currently available in SA. As a gold member you can attend these for FREE without paying a membership fee. I have updated the post to reflect the shows now available in SA.
          And please let your friends know about On The House. As the membership base grow in SA we will be able to attract more events for members to get free/reduced price tickets to

          I am sorry you missed out on tickets. They became very popular quickly and so a few people did miss out.
          You will have been given the option to receive sleeping beauty tickets or a refund.
          If you choose a refund, do stay with On the House as a bronze member as we regularly post new events for our members and you will receive these in a newsletter within 24 hrs of them being made available on the website.
