Did some research after I stumble upon this headphone as recommended by our fellow bargained 'LaTerrible'.

LaTerrible
Anyone looking for a set of open (very open!) cans but with a much tighter budget: Jaben Audio have the top-of-their-line Goldring DR150 cans for $49 (down from $150).
Fabulous set of open cans.

After looking on some reviews on the internet, it seems that it was rated above average.

https://www.headfonia.com/goldring-headphones-dr50-dr100-dr1…

Jaben has dropped the price down to $49.00 (https://jaben.com.au/products/gol-dr150) from RRP $199.00.
However, a quick search on ebay reveals that it can be obtained around $60.00 + delivery. So please take the quoted retailer's RRP with a pinch of salt.

Please purchase this headphone via their ebay store as ebay currently has 5% off for purchases above $30, bringing the price down to $46.55.
Also, dont forget to link your flybuys to your ebay account & to use cashrewards for another 1% cashback!

First time posting, please bear with my horrible formatting.

  • Well regarded budget headphones prices have been inflated due to it's being popular.

  • A well put together first post squidz - thanks.

  • It's compete well with other open cans that sells $100 to $150. However, I found the earcup on the DR100 more comfy than the DR150.
From memory, the Goldring DR series are now made for Japen exclusively since Goldrin has quit the headphone business. I am stand to be corrected.

  • head clam force is quite strong so not so comfortable. sound wise its ok for the price

    • Beware potential partners that use their 'pairs' to 'tightly clamp you close' at the first meeting.

Putting pressure on the phones is a cheap way to make them sound good that doesn't work too well as ears start hurting in short order.

Use your hands to put the same pressure on an alternate pair to see which ones sound better.

  • Got a call today after purchasing. They claim they will only give 30 day warranty because Goldring is closing down. I was happy to have them. Should be interesting with a consumer law 1 year wrranty claim lol.

  • Expired? Code only reduced $4.45 :(
