This setup good for Teams calls? My webcam has a built-in mic.

yeah should be decent. assuming everyone else has RODE mics

  • Always know that there is another level of wealthy that exist amongst us. The ones who buy exotic cars ect….

    • The $350 "BONUS" bit of wood and plastic as a stand is funny. The wood looks like pine. If they call that $350 worth, I can only imagine the headphones are slightly better than Temu

    • Surely they have no need for ozbargain

  • Thanks OP… i didnt know earspeakers was actually a thing lol

  • Que hace que la sensorialidad sea perfecta, ¡salud!

  • I know the STAXes are expensive but no way the stand and cover should cost $350…

This was cheaper in February 2024. Luckily I picked up the combo for $17,450. Not sure they are worth $17,500

  • Thanks for posting this black friday deal.

Gonna repost this from other deal:
I am very happy with my vintage SR-202/SRM-Xh setup that I got from Yahoo Japan via Remambo. Total cost ~250 AUD. Vintage may be a more affordable option for those seeking to try electrostatics.

I tried the L300, L500 and the TOTL X9000 at e-Earphone in Akihabara, Japan. At least for me in that short test the base L300 delivered 90% of the feel of the X9000. Proof here:https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/409487/122256/img_3045.jpeg. Even the vintage 202 blows my HD58X way out of the water at a lower price point (paid full retail via MassDrop).

One thing to note with vintage Stax is that if you move your head you may hear a sort of crinkling sound, but you get used to it.

Now the 5090 deal looks more reasonable.

  • Audiophiles are a different breed.

  • Thanks. Ordered 10.
