Poor deal in my opinion so a pass from me i do like a bit of saving but this is not worth the hassle to be honest.

Don't know why people are saying this is a bad deal. The EFTPOS card is often a good present for others and then you get a free JB card.

Thanks OP. Will use the platinum edge to buy the discounted Wish cards to buy the eftpos gift cards. Good profit.

I got a jumper and two shirts from David Jones (for a total of $16 in fees) from the last deal. I used the EFTPOS gift cards to pay a bill that I otherwise would have copped a 0.9% fee on. So net cost was actually $7. Pretty sure an Ozbargain post showing $100 worth of clothes for $7 or even $16 would garner lots of up votes. So, poor form from a few here today.

    • Of course it would gather lots of upvotes as it's 93% or 84% off

    • Thanks for sharing, I'm inspired! Gonna try and get a qc35.

I wanted to buy a $100 gift card last week and think that having to pay $6 or whatever for the privilege is a bit rich.

Does anyone know if these cards can be used to pay ATO bills?

    • +1

Good question. I owe them $3000+

    • +2

Sorry, we only take iTunes vouchers

not sure why your post was neged
      but I found it can
      https://www.ato.gov.au/general/paying-the-ato/how-to-pay/oth…

You can pay at the post office by cash, EFTPOS (subject to daily limits) or cheque. You must provide an ATO barcode with your payment.

      • BTW,I did not neg anyone in this post.I know some ATO bills do not have barcodes so that you might not be able to pay it off at the post office.

  • Thought you couldn’t use them anymore to pay ATO bills, interesting about a $3k minimum, didn’t know that.

  • Anyone else experiencing issues accessing the claimyourbonus.com.au website?

nope. just got my 10 eGift Cards from JB. all good.

    • Please disregard above - it seems to be working now. It was just taking a long time to load earlier.

  • For the first time I found that Kingsway Woolworths have changed all registers so you can’t buy gift cards with discounted Wish cards there anymore. However I didn’t try to buy it with anything else so that may have been a factor

    • I tried purchasing giftcards with my groceries at a register. Staff was happy with egiftcard as payment method but eftpos system had an error message - item not allowed. Transaction went through fine when we removed the giftcards from the transactions. Have tried at a few Woolies with both old style checkout and new checkouts but its the eftpos terminal that's rejecting the transaction,

      • Self Checkout?

        • Purchased 5 of these in one go using self checkout and paying by egift card on the new interface. No issues.

        • i've tried at both self checkout and manned register and at different woolies where some are using the old pos system and another with new pos system but none worked.

        • @littleburrito: just wondering what stores did you visit?

  • Just wondering how many EFTPOS have guys brought to date. See if anyone is hardcore enough to go multiple woolies to get them.
    100 = Bronze Ozb
    300 = Silver Ozb
    500+ = Gold Ozb

    • im mid way between bronze and silver!

      • What’s the best way to spend these cards on?

        • A kindle paperwhite……old one just died.

        • @Coops1: I mean 200+ cards..

        • @austin1:

I would be more worried about the $20000 in eftpos cards….

    • +2

Do you mean Gold Ozb is 500 x $100 Eftpos cards? What does one do with $50k in Eftpos cards?

      • +1

Exactly my question, would love to know too!

      • +1

Buy a car or deposit for a house

        • Should stack with the current 5% discount on Sydney property.

      • yep 500 x $100 Eftpos cards.

You can do a lot with $50,000 depends what you feel like.

Umm would want to fly First Class around the world.

        Find a nice/caring husband lol.

Took me hours to just enter them into the website!

      I'm done now

      • Congrats :)
Now you have $5,000 to play with JB HiFi.

        • At a cost of $1000 + 50k of eftpos cards.

and like 152k of amex mr points about $1.5k in $ values

Went to my local today. Picked up 2 using Egiftcards which effectively means I pay only $1.60 for a $10 JB voucher. Will try and get some more once some more egift cards come through.
