  • In case you missed the 20% off sale last week, 15% off 6.25% price increase at Woolworths this week.

    fixed…

    • Did they increase the price of gift cards?

      • The iTunes ones? Then yes.

eg. Last week the $100 card cost $80 and this week it costs $85. That is a 6.25% price increase…

        • You're right

  • Pity it's such a pain to set up iTunes billing now. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken but you need to vpn to US iTunes to set it up now?

Not sure what you are trying to do but nothing has changed recently? Australian GC’s go on Australian iTunes accounts, unless your account isn’t Australian then these GC’s aren’t really useful to you…

      • My billing cycle just finished on google play billing. My Netflix app on an iPhone and iPad doesn't give me the option to restart my account or sign up to a new account. Hence I can't sign up to iTunes billing. I read in a forum on this site they have recently disabled iTunes billing in Australia. Not sure if this is true though. I've heard you can do it on an Apple TV but I don't have access to one for these

        • Buy ITunes card, use the code provided to load the credit into your Australian account. Using your Apple device buy the subscription using Apple credit. Not sure if applicable for all apps but there are subscriptions which require you have enough credit for an annual billing cycle so you need to top up full amount in which they can deduct it at a monthly rate.

        • I'm having the same issue. Used to be on iTunes billing but ended it in favour of Google Play billing, but now I want to switch back. Didn't work on iPhone and iPad, but I haven't tried Apple TV yet.

        • @boshimaro: good to know I'm not the only one with this issue. I've heard it's still possible apple TV but I dont have one so I can't confirm this.

@boshimaro: So with a little bit of stuffing around today I believe I can set up netflix with iTunes billing using a VPN.You need to set your VPN to the USA, then when you get to the point of sorting out iTunes billing you disconnect your VPN and go though the Australian iTunes store. I am currently using a free month of netflix by signing up with a different email address. If you are interested and can wait 2 weeks to find out if the process worked for me I can let you know.

        • @MaKa: Thanks, I actually stuffed around with yesterday too and came to the same conclusion. Tried asking livechat but they didn't really have a clue. Let me know in two weeks how it goes since I don't want to start my sub until after exams!
