Waiting for Xiamoi Mi Band 3.

    • Miband 3 can’t sold to international in this moment, you only can get it via Taobao on 05/06 and ship to australia (information from suppliers)

    • +1

Yup, it comes with NFC which i hope Xiaomi supports fully with Google Pay. It's a bigger screen too which is awesome. Everyone who need a budget watch should wait for the MI Band 3.

    • The only thing the mi band 3 has over this really is the size (it's a bit smaller) and that it can be used while swimming. This has significantly better battery life (20 vs 40 days), a bigger screen, and more features and functionality.

  • Showing me AU$ 69.12

I've paid in USD and used the google's exchange rate to convert it to AUD

Thanks ordered one - created new account went through as $60.99all up.
Already own one of these highly recommended fantastic watch 😁

  • I just need a watch that I can control the music on my phone from (E.g. volume & skip) and/or display current track. Looking at reviews it seems this can't do either. Can anyone confirm?

    • +2

It's not an in-built feature unfortunately. I had to buy an app "Amazfit & Tools" which allows for this. I have set it so that two quick clicks of the button = skip, three clicks = pause. If you require more than 2/3 different controls it gets a bit annoying as you don't want to press the button 9 times to trigger an action… Not sure about displaying current track but that would be super useful.

      • Thanks for your help, may not be enough for my needs although it's a great price. I might do some research.

        • Amazfit & Tools is available for Android only

Decent deal. I purchased the black Amazfit Bip for $65 USD on AliExpress.

Having used The Mi Band first and second gen, this has been a huge upgrade for me. Been using it for the last 1.5 months now. I get around 3 weeks of battery life, including 30 min interval heart rate monitoring and at least once a week I use the GPS for my jogs. In-built GPS seems to be working decently. The only thing is I had to pay for a third party app to allow things like music control.

    • Which app did you buy? And does it work with no fit? Or on its own?

  • I bought the Chinese version for $1 cheaper, is it the same?

    • +1

      same.

  • Could someone please confirm that your account is easy to close after ordering?
Apparently my password is limited to 16 characters, so I'll need to use one of my insecure ones, and I'm not comfortable leaving the account open.

    I don't need convincing i'm paranoid :P

    • I take it by the negs, it's difficult to close the account?

      Thanks all :)

    • 'one of my insecure ones'? Do you mean you're using an existing password?

      • for sites that don't allow sufficient complexity, yes.

The algorithm I rely on to generate passwords (i use an attribute of the sites name, when calculating the string) won't generate below 36 characters.

Since the sum I remember to create passwords won't work, yep, I reuse passwords on sites that I'm going to close the account on within a month.

Risky, but I always blank the personal details fields asap, even while the account is open.

        • Surely it would be more secure to just randomly generate a 16 character hash to use as a password, write it down on a piece of paper and trash it once you're done then reusing a password if you don't trust it.

  • Can anyone tell me how long delivery takes ?

    • I think it said around 30 days.

      • +1

My previous orders from Joybuy have arrived within 2 weeks

    • Around 1-2 weeks for my watch

  • Can it send notification from smart phone to band? Works with ios?

  • do you need a phone to operate this like the apple watch or can you use it stand alone without a phone

  • Is Huami a love child of Huawei and Xiaomi?

    • Yes. The twin sister of Xiaowei.

    • Apparently Xiaomi bought/invested in Huami, which bought Amazfit, which is the manufacturer of this watch.

  • Are there any apps for reading notes like Evernote or the like?

    • This is not smartwatch. But more like fitness watch. Cannot install apps on the watch. Though it can receive notifications.

  • +1

    Is this still available ?
I am not able to see the posted price on joybuy

    Is there a coupon code

  • July 1st please add GST

  • Looking for a half decent heart rate watch. Is this the cheapest one around?

  • Just received it. Get the app through the instruction barcode. Updated automatically once app was registered to australia and changed most of watch to English which took about 10 minutes.

Heart rate monitor updates once a minute or less(not too sure if fully active during "activity".

Weather had temperature in foreign language for a few minutes but changed to english after a while

Charger needs a kinda firm push to charge and changes watch face to battery charging with time.
