    Just went to Bing Lee shop and I am able to put down pre-order for this price.. say stock is coming in 5 days.. so if anyone have trouble matching prices and happy to wait, you can lock the price at any Bing Lee store..

    With the recent Apple announcement confirming Dolby Atmos update and no apparent future product, it looks like its a great deal!

          Yeah, go there and put down pre-order. I tried price match with Alexandria OW yesterday no luck.. but now that I have receipt for preorder showing $179 price, I will try head to Alexandria OW and ask them to price beat.. see how it goes =)

          @holydramon71: Yeah from having pricematched at that OW in the past i knew there was little point trying with it not in stock at Bing Lee. I'll probably just stick with the $179 from BL assuming i can do what you did.

          and guess what.. Officeworks Alexandria Price Beat the Bing Lee preorder receipt.. so I got a $170.80 Apple TV 4k now =D Happy customer.

          @holydramon71: interesting - did they have any in stock? I went in this afternoon to Bing Lee and pre-ordered one there same as you did ($19 deposit), however it now occurs to me that i failed to check whether the $179 price will be honoured should they have increased it again by the time the Apple TV comes in? I might drop into OW in the morning and follow your lead with my receipt just to be safe. Thanks for the tips!

          No, they don't have it in stock, but they happy to order it in with the price beat price. I will receive the items in 2 days.

          On the other hand, I did check with Bing Lee that they locked in $179 price with deposit preorder and deposit is 100% refundable no question asked!

          @holydramon71: You clearly went into this with more forethought than I did! Will a call to Bing Lee to cancel the preorder and refund the deposit suffice, do you know?

          I'm not sure about refund through phone call, but I guess if you use credit card, they need to refund it to the same card, so will need physical person to come to the store.

          Anyway, did you manage to get Officeworks Alexandria to price beat?

          @holydramon71: so i know it wasn't very Ozbargain of me, but with the weather yesterday and the fact that i double checked the OW website to discover it was no no longer available click n collect from Alexandria i decided to just stick with Bing Lee and wear the extra $8.20 and save myself a potentially wasted trip. I got a message yesterday afternoon its at Bing Lee to pick up now (probably the one you had ordered in!).

          Have you picked up yours? Officeworks have it in stock today.. my order went it and they did restock.

          In any case, still a major steal at $179 and I know Bing Lee Alexandria had couple of other stocks (they said 3 stocks today as called them) at $179.

    Got Officeworks to price match today. Called my local Officeworks in Newcastle to check it was in stock and confirm they would price match, they said yes and got them to put one away so I could collect it. To make sure they couldn’t check stock with Bing Lee I went in and picked it up at 6:30pm. The Officeworks employee did double check the Bing Lee website when I picked it up.

    went in to officeworks yesterday and counter guy had to defer to old mate who then asked him to check a series of things before declining as the bing lee website was directing to a form [it was out of hours]. He kept pressing to check for stock as "most of the time these guys have no stock"

    he also said they dont take notice of screenshots of receipts as people could photoshop them :|

    any other store in WA a bit less stringent on the price matching checks?

      Place order with Binglee. They are taking the orders but delivery is going to be with in 6 to 8 weeks (as per online chat today)
