have several of these…can confirm they are indeed plastic buckets

    • +3

Thank you. I was afraid they are made of high-grade stainless steel…

have several of theseā€¦can confirm they are indeed plastic buckets with handles that snap off if you try to carry more than 7L

    • +3

Wonder if you can claim them for false advertising or something similar.
Does not do as advertised to hold 9L of liquid.

Edit: Wait just read the description - does not mention it holds 9L of liquid… could be 9L of air……..

      • +1

        Is 9L of air lighter?

      • +1

Don't waste your time mate. I tried to get a refund for my 2 that I bought to carry my 9L of gold around. With snapped lugs

They promise no weight bearing capacity so they're in the clear

    • +6

…the trick is to buy a 2nd one for that additional 2.6L so your handle doesnt snap off

    • +4

To be fair, perhaps it does indeed hold 9L. It never said you could transport them by the handle…

    • How the hell do you carry 7 litres?! I'm flat out lifting any more than about 5 litres without the handles snapping off & wearing the contents as a consequence! Brings a whole new meaning to 'kicking the bucket!' šŸ¤£

TLDR: It is a plastic bucket.

  • That ArmorAll car wash looks like a good price to use this plastic bucket for.

It's a plastic bucket with a plastic handle.

  • +1

    What does it do?

    • +1

Not much not very well by the sound of it

  • +1

Should have written "it's a plastic bucket" at the end of your description instead, to get in those ten required words as efficiently as possible.

  • +3

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? NO! It is a plastic bucket!

  • +1

  • This will be very good for cleaning my car.

    • +3

  • do these buckets fulfil the requirements of 7-eleven's byo cup day rules?

    • +1

Maybe 7-11 should have a rule to finish the slurpee in store…

      • And you cannot use their toilet afterward…

  • +1

    Thanks op. Bought 65,000

    • +1

D'oh… 1 more and supercheap auto would have been out of stock.

The savvy Oz Bargainer would still go through cash rewards for that extra 1c saving :D

  • (profanity) we all just bought a bucket

  • +2

    great for bucket bongs

  • They are crap. Mine broke before i got home.

  • What does it do though?

    • +1

Mystery that many intelligent people have been unable to solve.

      • Understood. Should I look at it and wait for it to do something? Should I leave it in the sun or the shade?

    • +1

whatever you want as long as its 9.6L worth….or 7L if you dont want to snap the handle.
ive found it to be suitable for storing air and potentially liquids as long as you keep the open end pointing upwards…severely low storage capacity if used with opening facing downwards…could be something the sca design dept can look at improving in the future?
would buy again maybe…. if it was like 50 cents or something definitely

      • won't the air leak out if there's no lid?

        • +1

…as long as i dont physically move or use the bucket in anyway whatsoever i havent found that to be an issue.
id definitely want a lid for transporting air from one location to another though…youd lose half by the time you get there otherwise!
