EoFY Domain-Name deals eg VentraIP (cheaper .AU's & $10 for 1 year .melbourne or .sydney, etc.)

31

So, www.AusRegistry.com.au was promoting an EOFY sale on Domain Names.

Of course, we buy Dom.Names a bit further down the food-chain, & they listed some domain peddlers to consider, incl'd VentralIP.

Without scanning all the others, I've snapped an excerpt from V'IP's list of bargains.

.Melbourne & .Sydney have been cheaper from V'IP, eg:

Today, they're ~$10 / year (as is .co)… but - if their
max 10-year initial rego [at discount-offer price] still
works at V'IP, this could still be a money for those who
need any of those 3 types of domain name "right now" :-)

AusRegistry's EOFY promo might have been featuring just
.AU domains, which V'IP has discounts, as well as offer-
ing free Transfers in (as did Crazy Domains, recently).

Need any? Have a look.

Better deals out there? Make a comment… ;-)

the .AUs are regular price for VentraIP and .AUs are always free to transfer across all registrars, that is a requirement of accreditation.

Porkbun are cheaper for .co - https://tld-list.com/tld/co

Who even uses overpriced and too long domain names .melbourne and .sydney

    • I got confused by this post and the above comment. It looks like .au domains are not actually available to buy. Just the usual .com.au, etc.

      • That's why I included the photo of V'IP's deals… ;-)

A bit of redundancy never hurt a Deal, & - so far - seems to slip by the Mods… :-)

PS I usually write+submit my deals way after BH's, when I should be asleep… Sorry for occasional glitches. :-(

    • TLD-List.com seems useful. Thanks for the lead.

I guess someone, who's about to launch an event in a big city (Sydney, w/ shorter name than Melb.) might like to try a domain name promo.

Domains aren't really "worth their weight in salt" these days, except for businesses or prof'ls, with plugged-in customers, IMO.

And such names' prices seem Far Too Fluid to be planned into a budget, eg, of nonProfits.

      • That's also another good point about .melbourne and .sydney is that prices are highly volatile. $10 this year, $70 or more next?

TLD-list is quite a handy and powerful tool, it automatically looks up availability of a name across all TLDs and then gives best prices ;-)

    • TEDx events have to put up with names of sim. length, making it harder to cite, eg, useful YouTube videos, eg:

YouTube "Pedersen TEDxCopenhagen" <=which I encourage all to view :=)
