@pennypincher98: You are really twisting it. It is not just a bit more expensive. We are talking about $90 more (if you elect to pick up).

Considered you bought one for $179 a week ago, it just does not feel right to post a deal that's $90 more a week after. Not to mention that you were wanting to buy one few weeks ago to resell. I was more than happy for other people to get better deals (all the deals I mentioned, I had plenty of time to get any one of them if I wanted to, but I already had one (and my deal wasn't as good as those 3), but I was/am more than happy for other OZBers to get them.

You experienced first hand committing to one of those not that good XB1S deals. I just found it hard that you now switch your position on those deals. All I am saying is just try to treat other OZBers like your mates. I wrote I want OZBers to get better deals than the one I had. Any deal better than that will get my positive vote. That's a statement you cannot honestly state yourself right now.

Just don't paint a picture it is very difficult to get a better deal than this one. I've listed three (and there were at least two more with white XB1S 1TB deals ALL with at least 1 game included). Honestly, it wasn't that difficult for a regular OZBer to get one of those past deals.

@netsurfer: I'm tired of this going around in a circle. We've both said what we needed to say, I'm not forcing people to buy it I'm simply making sure they are aware of the option should they require it.

@pennypincher98: As for the controller, the benchmark deal is:

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/380804

You would have missed out on that one. Not sure your main reason for wanting another controller (whether it is because you just want another one or you prefer one that's the standard black or white). If you still have $20 voucher from Amazon USA for an Amazon AU purchase (that one is unconditional with no minimum spent), have a look at these two:

          https://www.amazon.com.au/Microsoft-Xbox-One-Controller-Blac…

          https://www.amazon.com.au/Microsoft-TF5-00006-Xbox-Wireless-…

If you already used the $20 voucher, then don't bother with either. Wait for a better deal.

I am not sure about the white one (why there is a 2-3 weeks wait). Amazon clearly have some XB1 white controllers in stock. Maybe it is an upcoming deal. My experience with an Amazon AU wait 2-3 weeks item was mixed (took longer than expected and multiple delays - not to mention they dropped the price once they have the item in stock).

If in doubt, just wait. It worked out quite nicely for you last time.

        • @netsurfer: Yeah I'm just wanting another controller; not to replace the current one (although those green buttons are hideous!) I'll wait for a better deal, but only for so long - not going to wait months to get it a few bucks cheaper.
Is there anything you can buy to make the buttons seem more normal? I opted for a black/green honeycomb hoping it would match which it does but those buttons…

        • @netsurfer:

But if someone truly wants or needs it now

If that's the case, the best advice from an OZB point of view is to let the person know he/she shouldn't purchase one now.

Huh? But if they need it now, and you turn around to tell them to not purchase it, does that even make sense? If they are purchasing one for someones birthday as a present, that cant wait - you cant tell them to purchase one later (which could be at Xmas time).

          Worst. Advice. Ever.

And your statement about "this is not XXX to rush and get if the price is not quite right" applies to EVERY PURCHASE one can make, as long as it can wait. If it can't wait, you pounce on the best price available at that time. And at this time, the best deal on an XB1S console is probably this deal, unless you can find a "better deal"? No? Didn't think so. If this deal is not for you, keep scrolling down the page and move on. You dont need to get into fistycuffs with the OP for actually posting a useful deal.

        • @Trishool: There is one big flaw in your argument.

If they need one now, they would have bought it. Also, XB1S 1TB console only is the must have right now? Please, give me a break, there are plenty of other options.

This is OZBargain. You look at the BigW deals on consoles. The XB1X deal outsold this one. That makes more sense. You can argue one might want XB1X right now, but the least powerful console AND you buy the most expensive SKU of that model? You just want to argue.

        • @netsurfer: What a terrible and pointless rebuttal. If I need something now, I'll go check OzBargain, I'll check eBay, Amazon and do a quick Google search. 'Now' doesn't really mean "this exact second", as that is rarely the case for people on OzBargain or doing any online shopping.

Oh and for me "just wanting to argue"…??? Hahahaha, yeah sure. How about you go through this thread and have a look at how many time you just harped on responding to the OP about how you disagree with this and that. Put your big boy pants on and go get a life dude.

  • The One X is also available for $520 after discount (plus postage) : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Xbox-One-CYV-00021-X-1TB-Con…

This? it's already posted otherwise I would've added it :)

      • Yeah, I didn't look back far enough for it - but I will leave it there for reference :D

        • That deal is more popular than this one - not surprised at all.

@netsurfer: me neither. Has it occurred to you though if you don't like a deal then you don't need to comment on it? I didn't make the deal specially for you.

        • @netsurfer: Its also twice the price as this deal.
