  • It won't show the prices of the wine before you sign up. Anyone willing to share any decent prices?

    • I like the paperback range: the shiraz is about $19 a bottle at dan murphy

      • +16

Did you mean Pepperjack? Went in search of this paperback with no success lol

    • +2

I believe you can buy the wine from anywhere, and upload your receipt to claim the reduced cost.

  • Great deal!

  • Top deal !

  • WHERE WILL THE OFFER RUN?
The offer will run in all Australian liquor licensed outlets, including online retailers, (Outlets) which are selling Eligible Wines for off-premise consumption.

For the avoidance of doubt, an Outlet is a bottle shop or online retailer selling wine for off-premise consumption.

So does this mean you can pretty much buy it from any where in Australia?

    • Nice! So let the deal hunting begin!

Just one thing. This deal doesn't seem to be guaranteed. I.e. if you buy the wine and make the claim there is no guarantee the max number of claims won't have already been reached.

      • yep. Currently at 3800 left.

        • 3548 left now

Is there any reason the wine can't be returned once you've claimed the speaker?
    I can't see any.

    • +5

      You might have a conscience?

    • +2

      Yep, fraud

    • +8

      I don't understand. I don't return wine, I drink wine. I reckon I'm physically incapable of returning alcohol. :)

    • +2

Why would you return perfectly good wine? I don`t understand?

      • +1

If you don't drink? But even then, wine makes a great gift. So I'd just use it for that purpose.

  • GREAT DEAL!!!

  • +6

$80 buys a lot of goon

    • $80 buys a lot of Chromecast audio

    • +2

      Explain how.

      • +19

Money can be exchanged for goods and services.

    • Except Treasury don’t make any goon…

  • Anyone reckon Grays Online eBay would count as an acceptable retailer? Could get $80 worth and use a 20% off coupon to get it down and then use the $80 tax invoice.

  • +2

Time to go bin scabbin’ for receipts.

    • -1

Read the terms.. you need at least $80 of specific wines between specific dates. Good luck with that

      • +6

Just wait outside a Dan Murphys and offer someone like $5 for their reciept if you see them buying the brands.

    • +5

      Username checks out.

  • Shyza!! could have taken a few Wynn's wine from Costco today my favs are always $12-$15 per bottle.

  • +11

Anyone had a good look at the terms and conditions? In particular points 3 and 15 here:

    https://www.wineandsonos.com/Conditions.aspx

    I’m not sure about these.

(3). If you are a successful claimant you must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your name and image in any promotional or advertising activity.

(15). …By claiming this offer, you consent to receiving SMS or email messages from the Promoter that do not contain any functional unsubscribe facility….

    • +10

haha holy shit that second point. Yeah nah.

    • +1

Read those parts. Feel like they're just buying personal info with a Sonos

    • +10

Isn’t it illegal to not have an unsubscribe, according to the Spam Act?

      https://www.acma.gov.au/Industry/Marketers/Anti-Spam/Ensurin…

      • Yes it is. They probably just copied and pasted some other website's terms.

      • International company won't follow Australian rules

        • +1

Doesn't matter if it's an international company. Any company sending marketing info to Australians must abide by the spam act.

        • @evolution-flip: Just like they pay taxes in Australia lol

        • @evolution-flip: This is why I have a very specific spam/competition email.

    • Terms when submitting:

I confirm my details are correct and I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions. By providing us with your details, you are consenting to receive marketing information from the promoter. We will deal with your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will always provide you with an opportunity to unsubscribe.*

  • If I ordered online from Dan Murphy's now, would I then be able to claim with a receipt sent to my email?

    • +1

did that multiple times with the wineandbose offer

      • +2

Claimed multiple times with the Bose promotion, but this one says maximum one claim per person if I’m reading it correctly.

        • yes, they didnt let me go through even i used different address, must be the phone number.

  • Cashrewards + Woolies giftcards for the $80 of wine to double dip

  • Anyone submitted a claim yet? I just did one from my phone but didn’t get any confirmation email. Heck I didn’t even get a confirmation screen.

    • Never mind, I just submitted it again sand I got both confirmation screen and email.

      • What did you end up buying?

        • +2

I’m a fan of Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon and Vintage Cellars has it on sale, 2 for $60, so I picked up 4 bottles.

      • I also had to submit twice before I got the email.

        • Same, I never got a confirmation and read this, did it again and now I have it. Glitchy website.

  • +5

Wine and audio equipment, two areas of interest where confirmation bias would never come into play right? ;)

  • First Choice has Koonunga Hill for $12.35 a bottle right now, although Dan's still has some 2007 for $16.15. Dans also has the bin 2 shiraz for $25, Wynn's shiraz is $14.95 (black label is under $30, three of those would do the trick nicely).

I really don't need more wine and I probably don't need a Sonos One, but I'll probably do this anyway :/

    • +1

I’m not sure just how rigid they are with the wines purchased, but the list of wines allowed seems pretty specific. For example, it seems that Koonunga Hill isn’t included and nor is Wynn’s Black Label Shiraz, but Wynn’s Black Label Cab Sav is.

Check out https://www.wineandsonos.com/ParticipatingWine.aspx before you purchase to make sure,

      • I just clicked on the link and it specifically shows the Koonunga Hill, but only states MAx and BIN - hmmmmm tricky

        • The top image has koonunga hill, which is confusing.

      • Ah, I just went off op's post, seems a mess of a thing.

Might pass. Surely these things will be sub $200 at some point, will get one then.

      • Koonunga Hill now on the list

  • Does the price of $149 for the Sonos One include shipping?

    • I beleive so, i looked into it and it came up as TNT Express.

  • +1

Why are there never good offers for buying beer? :(

I don't drink wine but this is mighty tempting…

    • +1

These well marketed popular wines make great gifts. Easy to buy 4 bottles and that’s the next 4 friends dinner/birthday parties taken care of

  • Anyone know how long the voucher takes to arrive? I got a confirmation screen, but no email at all.

    • +3

At the confirmation screen you actually have to click the link to confirm then it takes you to the “Entry Validation” screen and shows you a Claim ID number. It’s confusing because the screen where it says confirmation is the second last not the actual confirmation. My email was instant.

      • Thank you. I can confirm that did the trick.

      • I get to a "Claim Summary" screen, which says "Once your claim has been validated, we will send you a confirmation email with a unique code for $150 off your purchase of a Sonos One Smart Speaker." No mention of a Claim ID
I have yet to receive the email. Am I missing something ?

        • Same happened to me, you'll have to claim again to get the confirmation and email.

  • "Participating retailers" does this mean anyone?

  • so.. just so I'm clear, once we have the wine receipt and uploaded it.. can we then buy the speaker from any retailer and then claim the cash back with the proof of purchase? (ie. I have a voucher for jb hifi)

    • +1

No, they send you a code that you redeem on sonos.com.au

  • So you pay $80 for wine, then another $150 for the sonos?

    • +1

      Not EXACTLY right.

You spend $80 on wine, then they give you a $150 voucher to redeem at Sonos website, so you "pay another $149".

  • Could you use this with the new Beam or the Play bar to have a left, right and centre channel for TV? I've read that you can use the Ones as rear speakers with the Beam but jot sure about front L and R.

    • +1

      I don't believe so.

From what I've read (and I could be wrong), the Beam is the L, C and R speaker all in one device.

You then use a couple of Ones for your rear L & R.

Then a Subwoofer which gives you your 5.1 sound.

      • Yeah, I wondered. I wondered if the older play bar or the other one allow it.

  • +1

Do you get 5.60% Cashback ($16.74) from cashrewards on the full $299 @ Sonos?

    • If the purchase through Sonos is via a coupon code, then I'm guessing the following condition may disqualify the Cashback:

Cashback may not be payable if you use a coupon code that is not listed on this site.

      • I would have thought if anything, you'd get the cashback on the discounted amount. But more likely scenario is not getting anything at all I think.

I've put through the transaction a couple of hours ago and haven't received a cashrewards email confirmation of tracking yet.

  • Anyone found a good wine deal that's eligible for this offer?

  • A deal breaker for me is that these won't connect to your TV. I thought two of these would be perfect for the TV.

  • So this is at any retailer like First Choice, eg is this ok to buy and use https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/Red%20Wine/19-crimes-sh…

    • Good price on the 19 Crimes range - waiting for Dan's to catch up

  • Anyone been able to purchase the discounted sonos speaker yet and if so how long did it take for your claim to be approved?
I have submitted a claim but waiting for it to be approved

    • Submitted yesterday and still not approved. They said up to 72 hours, but I am impatient!

    • Submitted this morning, not approved. Seems others have received the email instantly so not sure if it's just luck of the draw

      • you must have chosen something wrong from the retailer list

        • Triple checked again.. definitely on the list Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon

    • I Submitted yesterday and still waiting. The instant email is for Claim ID. I think it promo code to be used on Sonos website takes 72 hours to arrive.

      • I think they will release the claim code slowly to keep the remaining number as high as possible to draw more sales.

  • Submitted yesterday as well, just got a confirmation email said up to72 hours

    • Good to know, thanks

      • This is the email reply
