      Beats me why, you trade status bar space that you normally don't use for almost no bezel on top making the device substantially smaller.

        It's so ugly that it's laughable. You trade aesthetic bottom line with some trivial usability. The only usable wallpapers are probably of dark theme that can hide it. I don't care it's Apple that did it first because I don't use Apple, but all Android phones that follow suit are just copycats that either have no soul or no ball.

      I though the same as you. But Huawei can turn off the side off notch, which probably fine. I am very interested to see if the top corner only will shows status bar with black background.

    Notches are ugly…but wont stop most people going after its specs. Coming from a P10+ phone, whihc in most areas is pretty good; Huawei EMUI is just horrible. Among the worst out in the market from my experience. Also, the Leica cameras that boast the best stats, have typically been the worst performers. Crazy amounts of noise in low light and very dark/inaccurate…Iphone and Galaxies have the best point and shoot cams from what I have seen in recent generation smartphones, with LG rating a lot better in video performance. Also, I really will never understand why manufacturers KEEP leaving out a infrared blaster on phones (other brands), when it truly brings the "all in one" solution turning your phone into a TV remote, etc
