Some Logitech Gear - 100% Cashback Via Online Redemption - Starts 1 Feb 2011

4040

Some Logitech Mice, Keyboards, Webcams, Headsets and Cooling Pads are able to claim 100% cashback from Feb 1

see the website here
http://www.logitechcashback.com.au

still not a bad deal - given that after cashback, you essentially get the product for free

The stickers are on ALL the products at Dick Smith Arndale - and on the sticker it says, "Purchase me and receive 100% cashback". The upload is a photo of the sticker itself. I got excited as I thought I could pick up a logitech steering wheel with the cash back, but upon upon further investigation, I can see that only a limited number of products are included in this deal.

Only applies to these old models but 5 per household is not bad.

M100 wired mouse
M215 wireless mouse
K200 keyboard
C200/C210 web cam
Clearchat style headset
MK250/MK260 wireless combo
N100/N120 cooling pad

As at 30/01/2011 midnight, this deal has 2246 click throughs. Assuming others out there know about the deal, consider what happens if 3000 people have made purchases

$300,000 is available for the cashback. If there are just 3,000 customers, so far, who know about the deal, that's about $100 each.

So, just a heads up there is a chance you won't get a cashback

  • Where can i get MK260 in WA?? Please help!

    • +1

      Still looking in SA too!

      • Found any in SA?

      • What about now? No I haven't found them at any of the places I could think of.

  • +1

There is nothing here I was otherwise after so whilst its a genuine bargain I'm going to side with caution and not get anything, don't really want to be left out of pocket with Feb being a bad month for bills.

    • How could you be left out of pocket? Before sending the reciept, you would know whether or not you qualified for the cashback. If you didnt, you can always return the gear you bought…

      • If you didnt, you can always return the gear you bought…

        some retailers don't allow a change-of-mind refund
even if you have your receipt
that's why this offer is risky if you buy things you don't need of large quantities

  • Shame that I already bought two of these items recently. Have the full terms and conditions been published yet? Would be pretty cool if I could claim the ones that I bought a month ago.

    • Receipt must be dated 1st feb onwards to be eligible.

      • Looks like I'm going to return then hold my items

  • Went to Dicksmith @ Arndale and saw some stickers on the wrong products I reported to the staffs and they said the guy from Logitech came down and put it but DSs staff knew about it and they haven't got time to remove them all. So becareful don't go for those stickers! :)
BTW to claim do you need to send them the stickers or only receipt that match SKU and you are safe?

    • I reported to the staffs and they said the guy from Logitech came down and put it but DSs staff knew about it and they haven’t got time to remove them all.

      don't have time lol
my local DSE, barely have any customers, but then they hardly have any stock, they only have like 6 things on the promotional list \//

BTW to claim do you need to send them the stickers or only receipt that match SKU and you are safe?

apparently not, but to be safe buy one that has it
i went to DSE and JBHIFI today, and slightly removed the sticker ;) on an item and on the back of it it was blank
so i hardly doubt you need one with a sticker on it

i went to DSE and JBHIFI today, and slightly removed the sticker ;) on an item and on the back of it it was blank

        thanks for this info.
no stickers on old model or the one eligible for this promotion, all stickers were on new models (ineligible) even C905.

        • i didn't see the 100% cashback sticker on any non-promotional products
but, i did see the $2000 competition promotion which ended on 10/01/11

  • come on guys - lets vote this deal above the top gear deal

    • +1

Reasons why it will be HARD to top the top gear deal
      1) There is a risk involved in this
As you have to purchase first, people are not willing to risk $xx-$xxx and having a slight chance of missing out, especially with some stores having a no-change-of-mind refund policy
      2) For this offer you have something to lose
Whereas, for the Top Gear, you will have nothing to lose(except for 2 minutes), but for this offer you have $ and time to lose
      3) Even though these are spectacular products
They are old models as mentioned on PG1, yet they are free, again risk is involved
      4) Some stores have little or no stock
i.e.Hard to find the n120 Cooling Pad and/or the MK260 as others have mention

      But none-the-less vote people vote

      • Ha. To be fair - it doesnt bother me. I'm just bored

    • mice left click broken can you send me your new 1 :-/

    LOL @ LTS

    RRP : $19.95
    Now : $27.00

    • From BargainCrypt

delivery component is included , but price revisions are being made , Just checked , all prices are correct as delivery is included . afterall i would recommend that people get these goods in retail stores . afterall i think the 300k will run out in the first day , if your delivery ends up at a post office etc , by the time you get the item , what promotion ?
I dont think we will even have those sku’s in stock by the time of sale . secondly , why dissapoint any lts customers . we would rather see you all make your money back by claiming asap

    • That is pure BS. On product page it says FREE DELIVERY. So if delivery component is included then add $0.00 to the price. Delivery component isn't the reason it's listed above RRP unless LTS are lying to our faces re free delivery.

      • the M100 is weird.. OW had a shelf price of $10 the other day.. but now it's $14.97

same with the MK250.. self price of $34 but now $34.95 (although website still says $34)

  • watch the servers grind to a halt on Tuesday 1st Feb. Pity I'm working out of office that day!

  • anyone found MK260 in Sydney reputable store ?

    • apparently no stock australia-wide

  • Can we go to different stores to get items (IE if Cooler pad is at a different store than other items bought at original store)

    • yes you can. You will just need to fill in another online redemption form.

  • .

  • +1

I have looked into almost 5 different stores and could find only MK250, M215 , M100, C200, CCSH only.checked in different stores but there are no signs of N100 or N120..I think Logitech knew the exact stock status of these items throughout Aus ( ofcourse they will know) and on bassis of that they have set the limit of $ 300,000..they have beautifully proved the marketing fundamental - "Create the need and then sell the need". They have made us plan the buy the things which we never required also..anyways lets see what happens tomorrow…

  • Kids go back to school today so they won't be able to steal all the good logitech promotion stuff first? :)

    • yeah, sucks for me
i'm from QLD, and i also have school on same day :(
either my mum does it for me
      or
i go to JBHIFI/DSE afters school and rush the bus back home and hopefully i get the cashback, if i don't, it's just $19

      • Warning: Since you live in QLD and you have school, it would be about at least 4:30 AEDST before you can claim. Don't run the risk and let your mum do it for you

  • Anyone know where I can find the MK260 bundle? Seems rarer then hens teeth!

  • Anyone thinking of calling these guys to confirm the TOC. They don't seem to have anything on the website. Those links posted yesterday seem to expire.

    • +1

Here's another link. No idea why they've decided to activate the counter early. Looks like the offer will end before it was even meant to start! http://www.logitechcashback.com.au/26/Page.aspx?t=d983b1ff-6…

      • ~$133,000 already gone! Considering the terms and conditions specifically state that the offer is only valid on purchases from Feb 1st, I assume all the rebates lodged so far will be rejected.

        • Hope they reset the counter at midnight, and reallocate the funds for bogus claims in 14 days. Including for those who decided to buy the products before Feb 1.

        • those hopefully will get rejected

        • LOL

      • Where did you get this link?

        • It's hidden in their CSS.

      • +8

Phoned logitech and that is apparently a test site.

        • oh thanks god.

        • no wonder

        • Thanks for making the call!

  • Does anyone know if we can use giftcards to pay? Or does it have to be by cash? I've got a coles myer giftcard I wanna get rid of…

  • BTW, their Terms & Conditions don't say we have to send barcodes, only receipts. And they will return receipts later for warranty purposes etc.

  • how can they be down to just over half already? i knew this thing would end in disaster

  • Just called up the number… they said it could be a test run page and told me not to panic. still t&c apply… she said PURCHASE DATE must be on 1st Feb - 28th

    • LOL
      PANIC

she said PURCHASE DATE must be on 1st Feb - 28th

there is no doubt people will have bogus claims

      • You need to tick this on the online form:
^My claim will be sent back to me, marked as invalid, if the details on the claim form and the original purchase receipt do not match.

T&C only available to read online. False advertising? I'm not happy I only bought a keyboard on the 29th at OW because of the "Purchase me and receive 100% CASH BACK" sticker.

        • Not too late to return it now.

        • Unfortunately, the trip would not be cost effective for me.

  • How long do you guys think this promotion will last???

    • 1 day.

      • If there's enough from the ozbargain crowd going for it, then it might not even last half the day :/

        • hoping it would last at least 12 hours ;)

          or

My guess-2-3 days(my guess changes alot)

        • My guess is just over 24 hrs. Need it to last until noon tomorrow for my claim to be successful. Damn this QLD time handicap.

        • haha yeah
          dam qld est
          i need until 4-5pm

        • Damn this QLD time handicap.

Officeworks open at 8am. Might help a bit, assuming they have what you want.

Maybe go there, or phone, today and "reserve" your purchases.

        • @ Chris McMahon

most OW have barely any stock as said by other ozbargainers

but there is no harm searching around

        • @Chris. I've reserved mine at DSE.

        • @ Livert

          Lucky you

i tried to reserve at DSE but they only hold for 24 hours might go today though

        • It's actually 48 hours.

        • @maybeamacy

that's weird cos yesterday i went to DSE and they said they will only hold it for 24 hours
needless to say i was sad, as the DSE store had HARDLY any stock(only about 3 M215)
          so i might go today

        • Oh, instore?

Online reservations allow for 48 hours pickup.

      • haha, wouldn't surprise me if it was one day. but you have to keep in mind, some of the stuff doesn't even seem to be available, like the mk260. i'd say the average spend per household would be 100-150

        • wow 100-150
          imagine not getting the claim
          i'm only gonna get $19

        • i'm assuming people will buy a bunch even if they won't use it as its essentially free

    • my guess 4 hours.

  • this one seems like a legitimate link…
    http://www.logitechcashback.com.au/26/Page.aspx?t=700426ed-a…

  • Bet some store workers will keep a lot of the stock for themselves and give them to friends/family to register on the logitech website.

    • +1 There will be retailers doing dodgy crap like this. Keeping those stock and just tell customers there are no stock of any of those models.

I'm very sure about this. They either reserve for friends and family, let them register or take them off the shelves

  • another quick question if anyone knows. if you make 2 separate claims as you've bought the items from 2 different stores, can you send both claims in the same envelope or do they need to be separate

  • Not sure if anyone here is aware that you can make a reservation on DSE.com.au to hold the product at any store for up to 48 hours. Just click on "Check store stock" on the product page. Got my 3 items on hold ATM. Hope this helps!

    • Might be worth a follow-up call.

I reserved an external hard drive using the website to my local store (Tandy) several months back.

When I got to the store, the salesman just walked over to the store shelf and picked it up. Luckily it hadn't sold out at the time.

      • Yeah. Called them and it's waiting for me. Even got confirmation sms + email.

    • Nice idea. So if say they got no floor stock for those items on the spot, at least you got them reserved. Also if the cashback counter runs out too quickly within 48 hours, I assume you don't have to pay for them as long as you are not picking them up.

    • yes but when u pay for these items would the invoice date be the day you requested the hold or the day you pay.

      • The day I pay.

        • u sure

        • Quite. Nothing to stop me from not paying otherwise. Product would go back on the shelf but I will buy it before that happens.

    • Thanks I just tried to reserve a few things at dick smiths but most of the items had low stock so they wouldn't allow me to reserve them. I will have to try my luck tomorrow.

      • One of my items was low stock as well. Called them up, confirmed they had 1 left, and they added it manually to my reservation.

Re countdown showing on linked site JUST called Logitech ( overseas) insisted to get Australia. A great rep called back and informed me the counter link is false and they have NOT released terms and conditions yet (also on this site)

    • The counter link is hidden on the Logitechcashback web page. It hasn't been released yet but it's also not someone dodgy trying to farm personal details.

  • Re countdown showing on linked site JUST called Logitech ( overseas) insisted to get Australia. A great rep called back and informed me the counter link is false and they have NOT released terms and conditions yet (also on this site)

Do not do claim form as WHO are you giving this information to

  • This is the must read T&C
    5.
    1. Multiple claims will be permitted, subject to the following: (a) claimants who have purchased multiple Participating Products in one (1) transaction will be permitted to claim multiple cash back claims on one (1) online claim form, up to a maximum of five (5) cash back claims per online claim form; (b) only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased; (c) only one (1) online claim form submitted per purchase receipt; (d) in the case where Participating Products are purchased separately, each claim must be submitted separately; (e) all claims forms must be submitted in accordance with the claim requirements set out in these terms and conditions; (f) a maximum of five (5) claims per household is permitted; (g) only one (1) unique receipt number per online claim form is permitted; (h) the same unique receipt number cannot be used more than once; and (i) an unrecognised unique receipt number will be deemed invalid.

So to confirm multiple claims permitted (5 per household) but only 1 unique product on same receipt.

But does this mean we can buy the same product on another receipt and still claim cashback (I think not reading the above T&C)?

    • I think it means that you have to a separate receipt per online claim. You can have multiples of the same product.

    • where does it say 1 unqiue product on same reecipt???
it only said "(g) only one (1) unique receipt number per online claim form is permitted"

which just means the receipt has to be unique say if you purchase 6 items you wont be able to make 2 claims on the same receipt.

      • just called Customer Service Centre on 1800 850 522 and the person told me as long as it's an eligible product it's fine if i want to buy 5 mouse.

      • That's contradicted by (b) only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased

        • mathematically:
          cash back claim = x
          participating product = y
          x = 1 multiplied by y
          so with 5y, x = 5?

Can't find anywhere it says unique, but I guess somebody should find out with Logitech..

  • Note: You have to include the receipt number when you fill out the online claim form. So that means you can't complete the online form before making the purchase.

BTW that "test" online claim page's total is going down. Looks like people are actually using it. Someone's going to get a nasty surprise and they mightn't find out about it for weeks.

  • Western Australia customers like us are 3 hours behind, which have very slim chance of getting any the logitech cashback. We can buy the product from big shops and try to apply for the cashback. If it fails, we can return the goods. But if the cashback requires the barcode, then returning is not possible.
