Some Logitech Gear - 100% Cashback Via Online Redemption - Starts 1 Feb 2011

4040

Some Logitech Mice, Keyboards, Webcams, Headsets and Cooling Pads are able to claim 100% cashback from Feb 1

see the website here
http://www.logitechcashback.com.au

still not a bad deal - given that after cashback, you essentially get the product for free

The stickers are on ALL the products at Dick Smith Arndale - and on the sticker it says, "Purchase me and receive 100% cashback". The upload is a photo of the sticker itself. I got excited as I thought I could pick up a logitech steering wheel with the cash back, but upon upon further investigation, I can see that only a limited number of products are included in this deal.

Only applies to these old models but 5 per household is not bad.

M100 wired mouse
M215 wireless mouse
K200 keyboard
C200/C210 web cam
Clearchat style headset
MK250/MK260 wireless combo
N100/N120 cooling pad

As at 30/01/2011 midnight, this deal has 2246 click throughs. Assuming others out there know about the deal, consider what happens if 3000 people have made purchases

$300,000 is available for the cashback. If there are just 3,000 customers, so far, who know about the deal, that's about $100 each.

So, just a heads up there is a chance you won't get a cashback

      • so how do we get the money? via a cheque?

ok online forms allows both :)

  • -6

    This is truly funny.

I just realised that whatever you buy, you can also claim as part of your tax return. So, Logitech have given us a method to make money!

    • +3

      Fraud is hardly funny.

    • your tax return is self assessed, so you can claim whatever you want on your tax return. however, you will be liable for penalties.

  • ok how dodgy is this? i tried different addresses but still got
    "
Sorry, you are only eligible to lodge a maximum of 5 Logitech claims. We have already registered 5 claims from your household and are unable to process your 6th claim. Please contact our Customer Service Centre on 1800 850 522 if you have any questions on"

EDIT: ok i didn't read the thread but yeah looks like its just test - i called them up and they said it would be up and running by tomorrow lol
i clicked on a link provided before

    • +3

So by trying to register a claim a day before the promotion starts, who is dodgy?

      • like i said i didn't read and knew it was going to start tomorrow - i mean it starts today so why have the claim page avail the next day

  • Stupid me…I bought some of these stuff today at OW thinking it was the 1st feb.
Does anyone know if I can refund them to tomorrow (and tell the sales I made a mistake of thinking today was the 1st feb?

    • yes… you can return them for a full refund… just dont open them and keep the receipt… you have 7 days to return them

      • Thanks JV :)

    • did the items you bought have this "100% Cash Back" sticker on them ??

      • some do, some dont

    • Just return them tomorrow and buy them back at the same time.

      • yea I think I may have to do that. But I was thinking would they be pissed off if i do that…hehehe

  • Is it required to have this "100% Cash Back" sticker on the items we buy in order to be eligible for the rebate?? Some stores don't have this sticker on their items.

    • No sticker required. The product just has to be on the list and have the same SKU.

    • Just make sure it's a participating retailer

      • +1

who are the participating retailer ???

        • Also the full T&C is posted on the 2nd page of the comments!

  • Dick Smith sure know how to overcharge for a N100 cooling pad.
$59.95 is way too much to invest when not even guaranteed the cashback.

Logitechshop's $19 delivered seems like a much better deal.
$38 for 2 with no hassles.

  • i ordered the MK260 @ EYO but they replied back saying their supplier has no stock of it. looks like this will be impossible to find =\

    • Couldn't find the C210 near my home as well.

  • so wats SKU

  • Does anyone know if this applies to online purchase as well? i read through the messages on its facebook page and it says 'some internet purchases are ineligible' - so anyone has any idea what internet purchase would be eligible then? like OW, DS?

  • +1

Does anyone when the counter offically starts, either midnight or 9am tomorrow morning? Would like to know if it's worth heading to OW for an earlier start before all other stores open at 9am.

    • Good idea. WA stores opens 3 hours later. Worth checking it before going down there.

    • Would also like to know if it worth heading to OW at 7AM as apposed to DSE at 9AM.

      • When I wake up in the morning it will be interesting to look at the website and see if anyone has claimed any of the $300k already.

      • OW open at 7am where you are? I think 8am here in QLD.

  • This deal is all over the net…it'll be interesting to see how long the $300k lasts.

    • This deal is all over the net

i would say that only 50000 people know about this offer

      43000 fans from LTS facebook
I would say that only 500 people know(I assume that we clicked on this post more than one: i certainly did)(3000 Clicks off Ozbargain)[idk how the counting system words(as mentioned before){it could be per ip address, or actual clicks}]

but then i don't kwow any of the sites(what i am trying to say that they are not BIG)

I will sit by the side to watch the stampede :)

  • i reserved the last m215 from the OW Wooloongabba a while ago
i went to OW Garden City—> no stock so i went to Woollongabba

    • +1

LOL … I hid a couple m215s at OW Woolloongabba this arvo and I know where to find them in the morning.

This whole thing is getting a bit silly considering the relatively low value of the items and the trouble people are going to, with no guarantee they will even eventually get the cash back.

      • LOL … I hid a couple m215s at OW Woolloongabba this arvo and I know where to find them in the morning.

i was rummaging through the store near the M215 section, there was only one left, so i reserved it :P
but then i saw heaps and heaps of M3xx(forgot the serial code) and tried to find another one, couldn't find it

you should have of reserved it as there is a possibility that they could be taken

(whispers) where did you hide them;)?

      • You do know that officeworks staff have to do "face up" (cleaning up the store, returning things to the original area) before they close right.. there could be a chance that your "hidden" stock is no longer there tomorrow… just thought i'll let u know that in case it does happen

        • yeah that's a possibility of that happening
because directly to the left of where i found my M215's there mouses on the left were horrible shelved(obviously rummaged through)
just hope you hid yours well

  • so can we get two of the same item?

  • How Logitech will know that the products that we bought are the eligible SKU if the receipt is only showing such as "Logitech MK250" , etc ?

  • Anyone found any MK260 combos in South Australia?

  • goodnite ppl. I am giving up hope on this promo. They are hopeless. I was expecting the tocs online today but seems like they are just not sure. This promo is going to turn out ugly. Those planning of purchasing stuff any ealier then 9am i believe are making a mistake. They are yet to finalise their toc and publish it. Who know what changes are they planning.

    • T&Cs look the same to me.

EDIT: Where did you read that they are still finalising it?

    • Those planning of purchasing stuff any ealier then 9am i believe are making a mistake. They are yet to finalise their toc and publish it. Who know what changes are they planning.

      +1
But i doubt they will make major changes to the TOC that will majorly affect the promotion

But i do not know what you shouldn't buy items before 9am, just to be sure i won't be

  • Can I buy 3 or 4 items on the same receipt or should be separated?

  • Are online purchases covered and can they claimed instantly?

eg buy online from a participating retailer at say 12.01am and lodge claim at 12.05 am based on the online receipt?

    • Need product barcode.

Edit - doesnt seem like it from the form.

      • So I'm thinkin its okay to order online and lodge the online claim straight away. When the item, arrives in a couple of days, mail the form with the receipt?

      • No, there's nothing said about barcodes in their T&C.

"Illegible original receipts, copies of original receipts, handwritten receipts, adjustment notes, delivery dockets or lay-by deposit/part-payment receipts will not be accepted."
So I don't think they'll accept print-out of receipt from online purchase.

        • BUt what about the receipt that arrives with the item on delivery?

  • Seems like the claim is live now……

  • the 300k is decreasing … ppl are illegally claiming !! >_<

    • maybe online purchases are allowed…?

      • that's what I want some confirmation on……

The T&Cs don't explicitly state online purchases not being allowed.

      • yet printed receipts are not allowed so how can they. Is it possible some manager opened his shop at 12 to print the reciept?
        Nah that just sounds paranoid

      • The only online exclusion I can see in the T&Cs for online purchases:

"Purchases of the Participating Product via eBay or similar online third party Internet websites reselling used Logitech products are also excluded from this promotion ("Excluded Purchase")"

    • +3

      or 24hr Kmart perhaps?

      • where would that be?
        EDIT mvm Belconnen

        • Yeah, just got MK250 and M215 from Kmart Belconnen :)
          They also have webcam C200

  • Wireless 1

    http://www.wireless1.com.au/Promotion/Redalert/

From the email Wireless1 sent which suggest online purchases are on…..

"If you're after a laptop or desktop accessory, now is the perfect time to get one as Logitech are offering 100% cashback on a select amount of computer accessories throughout February. No catches, you get back the entire amount of the product you purchased! With free delivery too, this is an offer that you shouldn't pass up! Stock is limited and it is a max of 5 per customer. So get in before it all runs out!"

    • So is it ok to send printed receipt ?

    • +1

Why is Wireless 1 selling the M100 mouse in white as part of this promotion, when the Logitech website seems fairly clear that only the black version of this mouse is eligible? Seems to be a bit of confusion on the part of retailers (particularly ones placing the sticker on non-eligble products), and I think there are going some angry customers out there once this promotion is over.

  • Once you have submitted online and got your claim #, are you guaranteed the cashback, or does the receipt etc have to be in first. ie first receipts verified get the $'s first, receipts in days later may miss out?
    Me confused….

    • i think you're secure for 14 days after registering which is the time the receipts and forms have to be in to them. I guess after 14 days if they haven't received your claim, the money goes back into the pool

  • $5000 already claimed in an hour. Online purchases are good me thinks.

    • Just remember: The balance shows claims lodged, not claims approved.

    • No matter the amount, the stocks in each store are limited. Unless the stores are selling $200 for MK250, otherwise, there should have some left.

Just like the insulation scheme, since it is free (100% cash back), people will get it regardless the price and claim it.

  • I just came back from KMART SYLVANIA (24hr store) and have successfully claimed.
    I bought 3x MK250's at $45/each and 2x M215 at $29/each.
The cashback site issued me with a unique claim number. I've written this claim number on the back of my original receipt and I will mail it to the specified address tmrw morning.
They say to allow up to 28 days (from the day they receive your receipt) to the time you get your cashback - you can specify either direct deposit into a nominated account or ask that a cheque be sent to you.
In terms of shopping at Kmart, I arrived in store at 1130pm, and they had about 20x MK250's, 20x K200's, 10x M215's, and 20x web cams on the shelves.
I did a round of the shop cos I needed to buy other stuff, and when i went past their (very small) computer section, I noticed that all the MK250's were gone, as were the M215's. K200's and web cams remained.

    • Careful i read somewhere that only one type of item could be claimed so yours may get rejected.

      • +2

I was concerned about that earlier today, but reading other people's comments here and reading T&C's carefully, I think multiple items (provided they are only claimed once) are allowed.

I'm pretty sure that when they say "only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased" it means that each item can only be cashback claimed once, so if you have 1x keyboard you claim for it once, if you have 3x keyboards you claim for them (ie all three) once only, and so on.

        • it means that each item can only be cashback claimed once

In other words you can't use same receipt twice. This is clause (h):
"(h) the same unique receipt number cannot be used more than once"

          And clause (b) says:
"(b)only one (1) cash back claim permitted per Participating Product purchased"
Which I'm afraid means that you can only get cashback for one MK250 keyboard, one M215 mouse etc.

EDIT: If by "Participating Product" they mean "item", then you can claim 3x Keyboards. If they mean "product type", you're in trouble.

    • +3

      Broden was there

  • +2

Man i'm gunna have to try and wake up early to ninja down to officeworks and pick meself up some bargains…

  • so if i'm reading the t&c's correctly, you are allowed five claims per household, with each claim allowing up to 5 participating products. So does this essentially mean 5x5 which is 25 total products claimed?

    • The T&C's don't seem to rule this out explicitly, but it's hard to know what Logitech's intentions are since the T&C's aren't well thought out. If you want to try claiming that many items, just remember that you'll need to have 5 seperate receipts, with 5 items on each receipt. :)

  • -2

Jeez… The things people will do for free stuff lol

  • IMPORTANT: Your entry was unsuccessful. You have already entered this promotion today.
im getting always this notice. while i put a second claim different item with different receipt number…..HELP

    • I am also getting the same message for my second invoice. Whats going on?

  • lol its down to $290k at 1:44 am and the shops havent even opened up on feb 1st. so hopefully all these fake claims get knocked back so that its fair for all.

    • Just bought a couple of items at 24 hr Kmart nearby about 2:30am so claimed successfully!

  • what is happening. always getting this annoying message.
Your entry was unsuccessful. You have already entered this promotion today.
look like its much better to do in one transaction than separate receipt. i am disappointed. :(

    • Huh, you buy on 01/02/11 @ 2am in the morning? Which store open 24hr?

      Edit: saw Kmart open 24hr
What's my chance in SA tomorrow morning? :/

    • Try using different IP (e.g. open site from mobile phone) or use proxy (like www.ninjacloak.com )
      Please tell if it helped.

      • YES!!!

I was logged on at work and couldn't submit through.

Connected via my iphone and was able to submit :-)

  • Wow! just 2hr and 1K already claimed! ©¿©

  • K mart 24 hour

  • i saw three people rushing to get their logitech stuff at 5pcs each. looks like this promotion will reach its quota soon…

    • Have you been able to claim the second receipt? Just got 2 pieces from kmart and claimed successfully, but I really want to get the headset so will try office works tom morning, so it will be on a sepearate receipt…:(

      • Were you able to claim for the same 2 products ? or they were differnt..

  • Are Kmart receipt numbers to the right of the word SALES? ie, nnnn-nnnn-nnn

    • I used the barcode number at the bottom which included the number you refered anyway, not sure:)Hopefully both are fine

      • I did the same thng. I have a receipt from OW and KMart and used the barcode #

        • Did the same thign for my K-mart receipt. The barcode shows the above numbers anyway.

  • @prettyparrot,
how did you do it? i put the barcode as you have said but still not successful…:(
did you put both receipt in same name and address?
