WD Green 120GB SSD $28.50 Delivered with eBay Plus Free Trial or $28.50 + $14.95 Postage @ Futu/Shallothead eBay

1490
PULL5

Best deal I have ever seen on a Branded SSD. Use the free eBay Plus trial to get it for $28.50 delivered as shipping is usually $14.95. Performance seems to be decent are far better than the generic deals you usually find at this price point.

Thanks to The Land of Smeg for the new link on shallothead.

Holy hell that's cheap. I bought a bunch and I'm going to put a SSD in all the things

edit: sorry if I would have know it would sell it so quick I'd only have bought 1. It's not for resale I promise

You should see how quick a toaster works with a SSD inside.

      • -1

as long as it runs Doom

        • At 60fps

Hard to believe you can buy an SSD for $28.50.

    Great deal.

    • I bought a Samsung 860 500GB for $203 like 2 months ago 😪

      • +6

Yer but that's just over 4x the size and a much better drive, I wouldn't stress.

      • Reasonably deal there, Rusty. The 860 is streets ahead in ssd performance.

        • Thanks. Although my PC is only using SATA2 so not getting full speeds. Makes me feel a bit better though. Got it from MSY Cannington (WA) btw.

      • I bought a 1050GB MX300 for 260$ three months ago. Did I win? 😎

    • Hard to believe you can buy an SSD for $28.50.

We had one for less over 4 years ago. (32Gb is still plenty for OS and apps)

  • Best deal I have ever seen on a Branded SSD.

    There are unbranded SSDs?

    • +1

the really cheap ones that have been floating around on ozbargain

      • Even the cheap ones have brands.

        • +1

          so generic it barely counts

  • +1

wd green's are typically slow drives for media storage, seems weird for a ssd which are used for fast access.

    • +1

green is just their budget / low end line.

      • Never had one of these before, but installing windows on this would still be faster than using an old school mechanical drive right?

        • +3

          yep.

        • +1

You will feel the power my friend

  • Out of curiosity, what's the use that people are getting out of these?

    • OS or external drive mostly.

    • +3

      pr0n backup

    • All i know is good for gaming coz it have good reading speed makes fast loading and good copying speed.

    • External drive. Cheaper and faster than expensive hi performance usb sticks.

  • I bought a ssd from futu via eBay about a week ago.

Anyone know why it would arrive in a shoppingexpress.com box?

Are they one and the same?

    • Yes,they are.
