TA posted this deal a few months back (it has been marked as expired for some reason?) and today I was scrolling through Spotify deals and it seemed to work again for a test account I created…

it has been marked as expired for some reason

Deals expire 45 days after being posted if an expiry date has not been specified. 90 days if it's a freebie. You will see this little note when you post a deal.

    • Alright, thanks for letting me know!

Not bad. I'm, still getting emails for a 3 month 99c by June 30. Going to cancel my Deezer preimium once that expires in August, and then go back on Spotiy. There will be overlap in my periods. At least ill get continuous cheap music.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/346578 The deal is expired, but comments have instructions for setting up a cheap Philippines Spotify account

  • Thanks..needed one :)

    • Did the 2 month trial work for you? I opened a new account and it showed the free trial, but when I went to pay it reverted back to a 99c for 3 month deal instead.

      • I have just figured out why… If you have used PayPal for a Spotify free trial before, it will send you in a continuous loop when using PayPal as payment. However, you can try use your Optus Mobile service for the trial (if you are an Optus Customer of course) otherwise you can open another PayPal account, or use your credit/debit card..

U need a new cc for each new spotify acct. Any way around that without exhausting all my existing ccs/debit ccs or making new cards?

    • +2

You can use PayPal, or if you are with Optus Mobile, you can use that as a payment method for the two months, then immediately cancel so you are not charged.

  • Considering people are always so keen on getting Spotify for free and are looking for workarounds and loopholes, I was wondering if someone has tried the hacked APKs like this: https://bestforandroid.com/get-spotify-premium-free/
Am I missing something and is there a catch?

    • -1

Don't bother downloading those nodded APK's as Spotify will crack them down sooner or later. And some of them contains adware too. Try Fildo. It is better

    • For some music streaming services, hackers have developed programs that will download and save the music. It's more for collectors who want to build up a large music colelction without paying thousands of dollars to do so. Casuals are content to pay ~$10 US a month to stream rather than deal with the hassle of downloading, sorting and storing music.

And really, $10 a month for streaming access to around 50% of all recorded music is a great deal considering a single album costs that much to purchase.

    • Am I missing something and is there a catch?

You mean, besides the fact that it's illegal and unethical?

  • Amazon prime is $59 a year which includes unlimited access to amazon prime video and Amazon music. Just incase if anyone decides to get something cheaper later on.

    • amazon has music too? makes me want prime even more for $4.99/m

    • Does Prime include Amazon music? Can you provide a link, I could not find this?

  • +1

If you want to stream music and mix on some decks via iPhone, you need a Spotify premium to use with djay app. These deals come in handy. Thanks mate

  • Expired? It takes to the 99 cent for 3 months promo after you go through paypal on the payment page.

    • For some people it may take you to 3 mths offer but for some it is 2 months. They use multiple campaigns and it's completely random as to which campaign your account is eligible for

However, you can try use your Optus Mobile service for the trial (if you are an Optus Customer of course) otherwise you can open another PayPal account, or use your credit/debit card..

  • Thanks OP!

  • This deffo works, just made an account for 60 days

Is there any way to bypass the payment method? I've used all my cards lol

    • You could cross OzB deals and sign up for one of those ANZ accounts or whatever where they give you $100 for depositing 2k within a month, then use that CC to sign up for a free month of Netflix and Spotify… before cancelling all 3 accounts so as to get charged for nothing…

  • Does anyone know how to make sure you don't have old Spotify account downloads taking up space on an Android phone if you've cycled through all your credit cards?

I guess if I totally uninstall Spotify it will take everything off, right? Then I can just re-install and redownload all my stuff. Ditto for the PC version.

Or do I need to go rooting around in the directory structure?

  • Thanks OP. Another 60days.

    • Did you sign up with a US account or Au?

      • @wolfshooter. Aus site. Then just linked back my playlists from the other accounts. Was reading how Spotify could be on the way out as business model not working. 75million subscribers. They pay copyright, but seems like they aren't generating enough income to offset it even after 8 years.

        • Weird it's asking for a US zip code for my AU account. What do you enter?

          • @bargainshooter: Not sure. Should work. Are you selecting Aus. Are you sure your on Aussie site.www.spotify.com/au/ Have you signed up previously. It only works for new sign ups, but you need a different credit card/pay pal.

            • @Melb69: Thanks worked - just had to change the country selector at the bottom to AU!

  • @wolfshooter Glad I could help.

  • This didn't work for me today :(

    Gave me the error:

    discountBlocked

  • This still works.
