That and selecting wheels for a car is a very specific thing for your particular brand and model to get it right if you don't want steering shimmy, tramlining, rough ride, uneven tyre wear and suspension damage problems. Wheels are not something you can generally buy from a catalogue/brochure and expect them to work on your specific car. A lot more research and investigation is required than just looking at a sales brochure. The aesthetic appearance of the wheel is the very last consideration after size, width, centre bore, bolt pattern/PCD, offset, cast or forged, covered or open lug, and flush or rolled lip.

First off @Scab, yes the 3 for 4 deals do sometimes work out cheaper, hence why many of the guys I do HDPE days with will stack up when a tyre sale is on.
@Legoman - Never seen incorrect wheel selection wheel damage suspension before…It is not rocket science. The average punter could not care less about everything you have mentioned EXCEPT for how it looks, hence why the average used set of wheels for sale are some giant 15kg/corner chrome chunks of garbage. They could just google the factory wheel specs and look for something similar. They will have their bling without any trade-offs that the average driver would pick up on.
