I marked the expiry as tonight due to the fact Aliexpress will increase the price by 10% at midnight FYI

    • Thanks. Updated

According to the link the discount goes back to normal in 20 minutes.

    • I'll monitor the price. If it goes back to full price I'll mark as Expired.

  • Seems like the ones with the AU plug are out of stock / unavailable.

    • Still available. Did you choose color?

      • It won't let you choose colour. 1) click AU plug, 2) select colour option is now greyed out.

Works fine for all other plug types, just not AU.

        • Not greyed out on my screen.

        • @xiangtan: Oh well, it is on mine. Will wait for the next sale for it and get it then.

        • @DirtyBoots:
          Don't despair. It's back again!

        • @xiangtan: Apologies, you were right all along. I went with cashrewards and then searched for what I thought was this same item… It wasn't. Found the right one this time. Computers are hard.

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/384752 in 2 days au Dollar depends on the day :)

  • Oreo / Android 8 was released recently for this, running it on my MiBox now.

    • How do you update?

      • Go to Setup (the cog icon), select the 'About' menu item and there is an Update option, it's approx. a 640Mbyte download.

    • Beware, the update screws up any access to external drives. Kodi and similar will error when accessing external HDD. Only VLC works.

      • Is this when plugging a hard drive directly into the MiBox usb port? I am using a network file share to a Windows 10 PC and it is working fine. Note, I did have to tweak the Windows 10 PC with earlier version of Android/Kodi in order to re-enable SMB 1 support which Microsoft turned off with one of their updates.

        • Yes. Plugged into USB port. Any NTFS formatted drive will not be readable by most software. It works ok to stream media via WiFi. But I got one to take on holidays with an external drive and now it's useless.

  • Just wondering if anyone had got an USB to Ethernet adapter working on this?

I’ve bought one and had no luck, so wondering if anyone can recommend one they’ve had luck with.

Get the Ugreen one…. There's was a specific Chipset that was needed that was supported in the amlogic kernel, can't remember its name. In saying this the mibox is usb2 so unless you can't get a AC wifi signal it won't be faster connection

      Edit… ASIX Chipset works

      • Thanks guys. While my modem does have an AC wifi signal, I'm finding the connection to not be the best at times, and it's not entirely practical to move the modem.

        Thanks again :)

Yes, get a Ugreen USB 2 adapter, that one is one for the very few that work with this box.

      • FYI, I have the Simplecom NU301 working also. It did however require upgrading the MiBox as it didn't recognise it straight out of the box.

    • from what i've read the ethernet adaptors with realtek chipsets don't work.

if your adaptor is usb 3.0 then it requires USB debugging to be disabled which is under developer options in settings.
