The laptop screen is not 4k. It is 4k support for external 4k monitor. Watch out for the tricky wordings.

    • Are you sure? I have this laptop and I can set it to a 4k configuration.

This is the best laptop deal that I've seen on here for ages. If I didn't already have one I would jump all over this.

      • -4

Confirmed this is not 4k screen.

        • The guy abov you said he's got the laptop and it's 4k. How did you confirmed this is not a 4k laptop? Do you have one that's configured differently?

        • I get it, if u have confirmed it's not a 4k screen, but the way of wording is really misleading then.

        • +2

This listing details the model number which has a 4K screen. This most certainly is 4K and if not then the product description and serial number is innacurate.

        • -2

@kenthevk: I confirmed with Lenovo Australia this model has no 4k screen, only FHD, but did support 4k resolution on external 4k monitor. Also there is none internet review on any 4k version on this model.

          @coprocessor8087:

Whoever you got at Lenovo was an idiot, their own website disagrees with them

          https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/yoga/yoga-700-series/Yo…

          Display Type
13.3"UHD IPS AntiGlare LED Backlight 3840x2160

          You're also wrong on reviews

          https://www.pcauthority.com.au/news/hands-on-preview-lenovo-…

          13.3" 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160)
          13.3" FHD (1,920 x 1,080)

There are both FHD and 4K models of this laptop.

    • 8087 your floating point calculations are way off in this case.

  • seems like a good deal - anyone bought a refurbished lenovo before?

    • Purchased two laptops from graysonline before. One came in perfect condition and a bonus of 3 year warranty. Other one has a dent near the keyboard but other than that perfect condition (no warranty on this one though).

    • Bought a Y720 from graysonline about a month ago, some plastic was still on the machine, no scratches or degradations. You can't upgrade the machine or you'll void the seller's warranty (mine didn't have any warranty from Lenovo). Overall mint condition… Hopefully it will stay that way

      • the same as this? 4k screen and pen included? how many days from buy to delivered?

  • 1TB Nvme! Makes up nearly half the value of the asking price! Not so sure abourt refurb products from Grays but if I didn't already buy the surface book from Dicksmith then I would jump at this!

  • +2

If it's not as described it's the easiest refund ever. Move quick this won't last long.

people who bought from that link, please share
    1. if the screen is 4k and include a pen?
    2. how long is the delivery (to sydney nsw 2000)

  • Too tempted! 1TB Nvme wow! Must resist! Credit card cried a lot recently…

  • And gone. Will be watching to see if they relist it.

  • Was eyeing this off as it was listed. I'm glad it's out of stock, I don't need a new laptop but I very well almost bought one.

    • Same here.

Thank goodness our friends at ozbargain have saved us a grand.

  • got today, however, the fan is loud enough to make life painful, updating bios if dint gets calm gonna return.

    • Thanks. Keep us posted. Mine is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. Have read some workarounds using SpeedFan software and some reporting results from uninstalling lenovo (bloat)software as well. Not sure if its worth it though.

      • I did uninstall few Lenovo software but its like google plays music on android which you can disable but not uninstall. I tried SpeedFan and notebook fan control software but didn't do much help. Eventually, after windows update it seems fine, less noise, no noise when ideal however when opening chrome few pages it is bumping up the noise ( I just built a pc( $ 4 k cost) which can handle even 50 chrome pages) and then calms down which is normal I guess. gonna use few days before I decide whether to return or not.

Excellent. Thanks. I also read another potential solution which was to use regedit to enable the advanced max processor setting in power options and setting the max to 98% instead of 100%? Might be worth trying as well. But its good to hear it made at least a bit of a dofference with those changes.

        • @toimedianz:
I don't think u necessarily need to go through regedit, just go through advanced power management. I have set mine to 75 and it is quiet, so quiet. However, it dint run adobe premiere smoothly. a bit disappointed.

        • @MorningStar: OK cool. I saw some reports saying the setting may have been disabled. great to hear the noise issue is alot better! Not sure about Adobe Premiere. Video editing usually requires a dedicated graphics card. The good thing about the Yoga 720 is it has Thunderbolt 3 so if you wanted to spend extra you could go for a external GPU. Have seen the HP Omen with 1060 card go for a pretty good price on here. Ill be keeping a look out.

        • @toimedianz: there is no noise at all. far better than my surface laptop in terms of noise. In my pc, I have 1080 graphics so do not need a video card now but yes Thunderbolt 3 will be handy if I need one.

        • @MorningStar: hey mate, how is the battery life?

        • @OzSikh:
its ok, not great, havent checked yet, will post a comment once I check.

    • Also hows the external condition? Any active pen included?

      • +1

it looks like new ( not as premium as a surface laptop though) and yes there was a digital pen.

        • Nice. Hope mine comes with a pen as well. I think you may have got lucky!

      • going to return mine, touchpad and touch screen stopped working, very annoying!

        • Oh what! Damn that sucks to hear!! Sure its not a driver issue. Can you share any more specific details?

        • @toimedianz:

I am using an external mouse. the keyboard is working on the laptop, not they keypad and touchscreen. waiting for a response from seller, proceeded through the return process.

  • Did anyone get the usb->ethernet adapter that is listed in the specs?
    Ethernet adapter [U2L 100P-Y1]

    • NO

      • +1

They've just sent me the adapter by express post so email them if you want one.

        • Thanks, I will email.
