I was going to say oh good, same price as ikea.

Alas these are 800mAh vs 900 from Ikea….ummer

    But thanks op!

    • True but Bunnings is australia wide unlike IKEA/Aldi/Costco. I'd have to drive at least 10 hours to find the closest IKEA

    • Shame the 1000mAh LSD's aren't discounted.

    Varta, the new Eneloop.

    • +1

Quite right too. Varta are really decent quality
These are LSD same as eneloops

      • 4 Pack of LSD for $8.93? 🤯

      • The varta self discharge is much higher than the eneloops.

I have a labeller which takes 6 AAA batteries and has 3 eneloops+ 3 varta. The labeller is barely used and i find that consistently the vartas are half empty while the eneloops have lost maybe 10 to 20%.

Can't you get one with charger for the same price after Bunnings price beat?

    Product at Bunnings for reference

    • I've been meaning to that all week. Just haven't gotten around to it

    • if only they did the rapid chargers still. I've got a 2 battery varta charger that does the AA in under 30mins.

Should be able to. That's AA though not AAA.

      • True I was after AAs though so overlooked that :/

  • Are these leak-proof? I was surprised to find the Duracell Ultra leaked inside my remote control.

    • +2

Yes duracell were once the best and are utter crap now - leak all the time.
Never had a Varta leak and these are rechargeable - almost certainly wont leak

Another everyday option is the Coles rechargeable 4 packs of AA (2200mah) or AAA (800mah) for $7. I've used them without issue.

    • Is this considered better than the Aldi one?
