Just found this over at Red Flag Deals, a great little deal :)

Ends up being ~$15.40 off $81.12 AUD for most transactions at eBay!

Here's a screenshot of the offer working fine.

To get this deal you have to do the following:

Go on your ebay account and go to account settings
Then on left hand menu go to addresses and change Registration address to Canada (do not change delivery address)
You should get a message congratulating on your move to Canada and then click submit
Then browse on the AU site and see what you want to buy, when you know and have the product page - amend the url to ebay.ca (instead of .com.au)
If done successfully you should see the price in AU or CA dollar.
Add to basket and choose paypal

      eBay don't collect GST if you're buying an item from your own country no matter what site you're buying on, it's the same as buying on eBay AU.

          That's for an item shipping from overseas, I said items within AU don't attract GST.

      They start invoicing you for final value for each item you've got for sale. Happened to me, but they refunded it after contacting them and changing back.

    I notice if an item on AU ebay has free AU shipping it wants me to pay when using US ebay, even though the item is still being shipped within AU. Just about negates the discount.

      That only happens when the item is an eBay plus item (so you get free delivery with eBay plus), if there's free shipping on an item in AU, you'll still get free shipping on US / Canada.

        I was, but found the problem. I changed it to US earlier this morning and saw a confirmation, but apparently it didn't stick. Checked again and it said Australia. All working now.

    Has anyone else had difficulty changing their country? Even though I've changed my registration address as described my originally Canadian account has never actually converted to Australian, thus I get very few of the targeted deals and can't buy eBay Plus. I imagine I have to contact support, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
