    Link's out.

    Here it is.

Limited to 100,000 cards, which is quite a lot. I reckon it'll last 2-4 days.

Looks like Westfield Gift Cards might not be part of it this time, but I hope I'm wrong.

Also for anyone who happens to have overseas AMEX cards, it doesn't work. The error message is:

Unfortunately, this card is not eligible for this offer.

    • Hi I am new n I don’t know how to do it. Is it safe to put your card number when you register? Can I do it today? If I shop in one shop more than 100$ will I get back 40$ or only 20$.
      Thanks in advance

      • Yes, yes and $20 as it will only work once for that particular retail location. There are places with multiple valid locations though like the four OPSM locations where you can buy things like OPSM gift cards.

        • Thank you Danielh.

    • I reckon it'll last 2-4 days.

      How wrong was I LOL

      It's still open to enrolments.

I forget that it's only for SYD&MEL CBD stores but once you factor that in I think it explains a lot.

      • +1

They had machines on the day of the 6th Sep, which allowed people to tap their card and register on the spot.

        Pretty nifty

        • Yea I was told. Really cool feature actually.

  • Thank you. Myer +1.
Any limits on how many card registrations?

  • +1

Thanks OP. Useful info on last year's deal

  • When I try to register, it takes me to the 2017 page and says that the order has ended? Just a problem on mobile?

    • +4

Registrations probably won’t actually start until a week or two before the offer commences.

      • Reminder set for the 24 Aug

  • +5

Thanks Op, but unfortunate and one of the things that's bad in my opinion to be posted so early; now it won't be re-posted when registrations open and will need to set constant reminders to check back to see if registration has opened to avoid missing out or forgetting.

    • Underneath the "31 Aug-6 Sep", click on "Reminder".

      • +6

Yea I know about the "Reminder", but not sure if you understand what I am trying to convey. Reminder feature is easy when you know the date, but in this case we have no clue when the registration will actually open (and its not 31st Aug or 6th Sep as that is the event date).

        • Does day Aug 24 is when registration begins in terms and conditions

        • +3

@Sweetnsour: The current T&Cs show 2017's date: 24/08/17. This year's offer details has not been revealed yet.

    • We'll sticky it to the front page when someone reports registrations are open, as well as on Aug 31 and Sept 6.

      • +1

        Thanks Neil, that’s awesome!

      • Thank you!

      • Sticky up yet?

        • Stickied today.

        • @neil: Fyi I don’t think it is a sticky in the mobile site. iPhone X using safari here.

        • @danielh:

Not stickied anymore. Only stickied for a couple of hours.

  • +6

Can we post deal when the actual registration is weeks away?

    • You can if the info is valid :) Happens for quite a few deals

      • Thank you for letting me know, will keep it in mind

  • +3

What date are we supposed to set the reminder for?

  • +4

I know we lost origin but us Queenslanders would like some decent AMEX deals too

  • +1

OzBargain meetup at the lounge? Wear slazenger attire,

Honestly though never tried the lounge experience before, tempted this year.

    • +1

It’s pretty packed (for Sydney anyway); try and go early when the event starts at 5

      • Cheers. Yep I'm Sydney

      • Event starts at 12 this year, probably be less crowded before 5 when people get off work.

    • +1

Well if your kind of experience is to wait in a massive line unless you have a centurion card, for some freebies, then try it out.

      • +2

Platinum Charge allows you to skip the line also.

        • Is this from experience for the previous years? Since I’ve been trying to figure out but the T&C’s only state centurion cards :’(

      • Ah okay. I'm just a poor sucker with am essential card. Will go there early. if there's already a long line, I will just leave. Thanks.

        • It's time to upscale.

        • @nightelves:

          Get a free gold card

  • Myer is usually included? If they are, buy Coles Myer Giftcards for 40% off Coles.

    • -2

      The westfield giftcards are better

      • Westfield giff cards have a $2.95 or $4.95 card fee though, depending on which one you get

        • I think they are excluded already?

        • Yes there is an activation fee but if it is anything like last year and the year before, they were willing to do a 200 gift card and split to 4 payments.

        • @fan8956: Westfield giftcard at 2 locations for sydney. You can use the search function, it is there and part of the promotion.

        • @googoogaga: I see, thanks a lot. I am in Melbourne… no luck for this

        • +1

@fan8956: Fly to Sydney for Vogue Fashion Night Out round 2 haha

        • -2

So, even though it says WESTFIELD GIFT CARDS, we can assume any gift cards bought through Myer would qualify?

        • +2

@RedSky: Westfield Gift Cards is a separate retailer to Myer …

        • @kerfuffle:

Ah, makes sense, ta! The fact the address is the same for everything else in the mall confused me …

    • How does that work exactly? If you buy the Coles Myer giftcards from Coles, doesn't that count as a purchase from Coles, not against Myer so you won't get the discount? Or am I misunderstanding your point?

      • +2

You're misunderstanding; buy Coles Myer Gift Cards at Myer so you can use them at Coles (and Officeworks, Kmart et al)

        • +1

Ah that makes more sense, thanks for explaining that

        • does this still exist since Coles and Myer are no longer part of the same company?

        • @Yola: It's existed for years despite the dissolution of the two; I bought a Coles Group and Myer Gift Card from Coles a few weeks ago.

        • So, do I buy 3 cards in 3 diff transaction and get $60 back ? Isnt it only 1 transaction per store ?

        • @Ryxxi: Since you only have one Amex, you can only buy once from Myer …

  • Reminder set
    Thanks OP

  • Any other worthy retailer offering gift cards apart from DJ and Myer?

    • Any store that sells gift cards. I have my eye on The Body Shop; can use them when they have 15% of so off sales

      • I probably should have said non-discretionary spending, such as giftcards for Coles where you can buy daily essentials

        • ok found it: DJ, Myer, westfield

        • @alanyang: How can you use DJ card to buy groceries?

        • @demiurge: They sell groceries at DJ Underground section in Melbourne, very pricey.

        • @JIMB0:
          and at Malvern Central

        • @Yola:

But this offer only available in the city

    • Last year I bought a couple GC from Zara

    • I bought a $50 Xbox Gift Card from Microsoft last year with no problems.

  • +1

    This deal is confusing.

  • Anyone getting??

    "Sorry!
    This campaign has ended."

    • +4

Yes, because that was for last year and registrations for this year aren't open yet …

      • +1

        Thanks, thought I missed out..

  • How about Brisbane?

  • I had visitor coming to Aus, any chance to apply a Supplementary card for foreigner?

    • Many people have reported that to get a supplementary Amex by calling up you just need name and DOB. Sometimes they want ID but then you just do not provide it. Make sure you trust your visitor as you are totally liable.

  • has this deal registration opened yet? can't find anything about it

  • Myer doesn't seem to be in the list of participating retailers this year: https://fno.vogue.com.au/

Hope that's not right, or the list gets updated before this event goes live.

    • That's not the list that will be part of this Amex offer; that's the list of stores that will activations and stuff (Myer usually aren't on the list as David Jones is usually the retail partner for Vogue Fashion Night Out)

The actual list will be somewhere on the Amex site closer to the date

  • +6

Just read the terms and conditions, says save offer between 23/08/2018 and 14/09/2018! So registration starts 23/08/2018! Lock in the date everyone.
Save the offer to your eligible Card between 23/08/2018 and 14/09/2018. Spend $50 or more on that Card, in one transaction, in-store only at participating VOGUE American Express Fashion's Night Out (VAEFNO) retailer locations between 31/08/2018 and 14/09/2018 to receive one $20 credit.

  • +7

WESTFIELD GIFT CARDS 450 GEORGE STREET
WESTFIELD GIFT CARDS 188 PITT ST
    MYER 436 GEORGE STREET
are all there this year again!

    • I can only see Westfield Gift card at Pitt Street & Market Street, can't seem to find the George St one, where in the list?

      • +2

        Under Lifestyle …

        • Great, I was looking at the wrong link before ;)

        • I don't know if it was there before because I wasn't looking, but I just checked and Westfield are not there!

This is the link I've been looking at. I've looked at each category (including "Everything") and I don't see Westfield Gift Cards…

          Nooooooooooooo…

        • +2

          @illumination:
You need to select the city to Sydney near the top of the page, otherwise the Westfield addresses won't show under the "Lifestyle" tab.

        • @zrmx: You're absolutely right!

          Heart attack over..!! Thanks!

        • +1

          @illumination:

Think that might deserve a neg for not looking hard enough. :D

        • @nightelves: It's false/misleading info so I have no issue with that comment being negged lol

    • There are 2 wesfield gift cards locations. So will it be considered as 2 retailers?

      • +1

        from past experience, yes

  • +1

    Registered my two Amexes!

Some choice picks you could use the offer on from my end: Uniqlo, Priceline and The Daily Edited.

Also for those who have the Forever New Amex offer that expires on August 31, seems like you could stack the two offers together and spend $75 and get $35 ($15 plus $20) back?

    • Did you receive email upon registration?

      • +1

Nope but when I looked at the app, both Amexes had the Vogue offer saved

    • +1

Ooh Priceline is a new one, I don’t think they participated last year!

Also looks like Mecca is participating but Sephora isn’t this year which is a shame.

I’m actually going out on VFNO so Hoping to stack the cashback with some good offers. Jurlique has two products I want but they add up to $100 D: Good thing they’re part of the cash back offer 😁. Last year the store had a good GWP too.

Anyone know whether the retailers are cool with splitting payments? Or have they cottoned on to the fact that people just do it to get two cashbacks? :P

Anyone who hasn’t been to VFNO should check it out, last year I went around with a bag collecting free samples. If you’re not keen on samples there’s always free wine, random delicious snacks etc. David Jones always has guys walking around with trays of wine :)

Edit: my phone autocorrected “splitting payments” into “so little payments”, fixed

      • Anyone know whether the retailers are cool with splitting payments? Or have they cottoned on to the fact that people just do it to get two cashbacks? :P

Just go when it's quiet if you intend to split payment as it's a pretty fiddly process and easy to stuff up

        • +1

Ahh okay, didn't realise it was a fiddly process as I've only split payments at supermarkets before. Will make sure I go to Jurlique earlier in the day to avoid holding up a line!

        • @Mrs W: Usually they stuff up by accidentally doing it as $50 cash and then they don't know how to reverse it.

As for Jurlique, I can't speak for them as to whether they'll do split payment, however for the two department stores participating, they can definitely do split payment. You may want to buy two $50 Jurlique gift cards if they won't do split payment

        • @kerfuffle: We shall see if they do split payment, I'm not too fussed. Worst case scenario I just buy the one product and go back later with the husbands card. I'll be around for a few hours while I wait for my sister to get off work so i'll have time to kill :)

    • +1

Yes, very likely that u wud get cb from both the offers if u shop on 31st.

    • +1

The Forever New Amex Offer that was on actually has an expiry of 30th August, at least mine said "spend $75 or more, in one or more transactions, online or in-store at Forever New by 30/08/2018 to receive one $15 credit." =S

      • Oops; can't read. Thanks!

    • -4

perhaps those that have negged me could supply an answer

      • +6

I think the negs mean that the answer is pretty obvious (I didn't neg you)
