Don't forget the comments about insurance companies not covering you if they find any Xiaomi products in your house.

        dont forget bunnings

      • And you know why there's no reports of fires starting or insurance being invalidated? Because all their houses burnt down and their insurance was invalidated so don't have the means to spread the warning. #thedangerisreal

Crikey! It's no wonder there's only about one and a half billion survivors over there. Stay safe, people.

          Sent from my iPhone.

I've got three of these they are awesome and as a bonus my house hasn't burnt down and if it were to the Chinese govt would be listening in and could call the fireman

    • Love it

Also a fan, I have two. But charging seems to cap out around 600mA per port at one device connected. Convenient yes, but not fast. Also when a big load is placed on 3 sockets, they make a fair bit of noise. I'm quite happy with the quality though, they feel very solid.

Is each port 3.1A simultaneously? or is that the total ?

    • Mine seem to cap around 600-700 per port (one device per board, tested each socket over both boards)

      • so it's pretty much useless for more than one device…

  • cheap as

  • Thanks 👍

  • Anyone please comment on the standby power consumption without any usb devices plugged in?

I thought these were good, but am a bit disconcerted by mine - sometimes I notice it making a scratching noise from the switch - if I switch it on and off the noise stops.

Got no idea what it is, but doesn't instill confidence. I just turn it off at the wall when not using it now.

  • Mine is rated 250V, 10A, 2500W. But the inbuilt protection kicks in whenever it reaches about 1600W. Tried different combinations of devices, including a 1600W Xiaomi hairdryer (which triggers the safety after several minutes).
I cannot recommend this device for high draw devices - the rating seems wrong.

  • Dope board, helps plugging in all the devices I've purchased from Amazon US without purchasing other adaptors etc

  • Am I wrong or does that socket take a US plug? Socket looks different.

    • In China they have 2 different socket types, so this is made to accept both.

You can plug US devices in as long as it will accept 230V/50Hz

      • Likely to just be for laptop cords, usb devices that have a US plug.

        Thanks for the answer.
