I'll be sticking the Python on my lappy <:

        • (says faggot in that comment ^ for those who don't get it)

        • I get a 403 error when I try to access that page.
          Perhaps it has been censored?

        • @UNM: Scroll up for Diji's removed comment. Basically had an image about it.

Q: How do you know someone uses Linux?

    A: They'll tell you.

    • +13

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux,
is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. :P

      • That's just being picky. It's also the wrong way around. You're using Linux plus a bunch of GNU tools.

        • +13

          ACKCHYULALLY

        • +4

No you see, you're actually using a bunch of GNU tools on the Linux kernel.

        • GNU on Linux would probably be the most accurate. The linux kernal is a tiny fraction of the total package that is 'linux'.

        Thanks RMS

I assumed you were parodying Richard Stalman to poke fun at him?
His insistence on calling it GNU/Linux makes some sense but I figure it's mostly about marketing.

Whilst most people aren't directly using Linux as they aren't sitting there making calls to the kernel. To say they are using GNU/Linux isn't that accurate either. It would be more succinct to say they are using Ubuntu/Fedora/Arch whatever distro they have. Which of course has plenty of GNU and other tools in it as well as the Linux kernel.

I usually just say Linux or even unix as thats enough context for most discussions - and there's nothing wrong with that.

  • : D

  • Yeah, now I'm bad boy!

  • This is awesome! Just got one myself :)

    No Emacs

  • +3

    I use Arch.

  • Gnome or nothing :)

    • +1

After using gnome for 6 months I miss xfce tremendously. Gnome seems so sluggish and requires quite a few plugins for sanity :/

    Where's the Idiot Outside sticker?

  • Thanks! Now i can put an Arch sticker on my hacked Toshiba chromebook 2. Awesome.

  • Thanks!

    Imagine getting these for macbooks..
    I'd be so coooooool

    • +1

      Thats exactly what i'm doing.

      • Same. I need to tell mine apart from the 25 + other identical macbooks in this damn office.

      • what do we do when there is no more space for them?!

        • overlapping them with even more stickers
but rule of thumb, use the Arch sticker last for best effect

  • Too bad the "have you tried turning it off/on again" is not on special, otherwise it'll be awesome for my support team

  • +5

    Now i'll never get laid.

  • +1

    No BSD demon stickers.

Also you can stick them on a server.

  • Thanks OP, ordered one to tide me over until I find some COBOL, DB/2 and JCL stickers.

whatever happened to Slackware version of linux. Those were the days back in the 90's at uni

I've forgotten all the commands i used to know :-(

  • My pack arrived in the mail today but … no stickers .. how very disappointing.

    • Me too. I wrote to them and they are sending me another pack.

      • Yikes, I received mine a week or so ago but haven't bothered opening it yet, will def check tonight!

Was there anything in them or were they just empty envelopes???
