    What's wrong with just using a safety razor and some foam? It's shaving, not rocket surgery.

      whats wrong with a shave soap stick and a DE razor , even cheaper.
      Who pays for foam ?
      $7 shave stick lasts for about 180 shaves.

        I’m still using a cartridge razor, but moved away from this gel stuff to a shave soap stick and haven’t looked back.

        I've got the worst possible beard you can imagine. I have a 5 o'clock shadow by lunchtime.

        So I just use a razor in the morning to give a really smooth shave to start the day, then do a quick once-over with an electric shaver at night, so I'm not prickly in bed, but also so things haven't gone so wild by the morning that the razor can't manage to cut through it.

        If I neglect to shave before bed, I really regret it when it comes time to shave in the morning.
