    • Thanks !

  • Just this sufficient to use ? Or any other Invertors or batteries needed?

I am planning to try solar myself without any help from professional installers?

    • you def need both, otherwise the current from the panel would be too unstable to use….

    • Depends on what you want? You can run a independent DC circuit say in a shed or garage it can used in a house but more risk is involved.
Use a charge controller to charge up batteries then you can run lights and a TV maybe even a little fridge from this circuit. You will need an inverter if you want to run AC electronics but some AC items like drill/saws will happily run from DC.

    • As other said, be sure to work out what do you want to do with it in the future too. Dont be like me :( I have to upgrade to a new inverter now.

  • Change last link to 160w, not 10w

Oh and the 200w link is dead

    Thanks op

    • All fixed thaanks

    good deal mate!

  • I don't have a Caravan. Can we use this for others purposes like charge for normal solar light?

    • Yea you could but most likely the voltage will be to high you would need a buck driver to lower the charge voltage. This also depends on what you mean by solar lights?

    "German Certified".
It's like they found some homeless guy to certify it for a new pair of socks and a fiver.

    • +1

But they have to make sure that homeless guy has a German citizenship.

    • +1

Same guy who certified VW for Co emission?

  • The panel look good and the price is reasonable but I don't have Caravan instead this panel better charge than my normal solar sensor lights… hope somehow this panel can give better charge for my x6 normal solar sensor lights each 120 led lights the solar panel just too small.

  • Does it list the weight of the panel anywhere?

    • I cant find it. You may need to contact the seller. I wouldn't think it is too heavy.

So we also need to buy an inverter and L2 electrician to get it installed…is that right?

    • electrician to get it installed

This item is elv and an easy off the grid diy project.

  • One thing I dont get is

Maximum Hail Load: Steel ball 1m

i assume they drop a steel ball on it from 1m to see how strong the glass is. how it translates to resistance versus hail…nfi

  • Does anyone know what the seller is like? Do they sell quality goods?
I've seen their listings but haven't bought from them yet..

  • Can I plug it into a hybrid EV (12v) Across windscreen during the day?

  • The power rating is not doing what it is supposed to. It seems more like a 180W can someone check with a good regulator the power rating also.

I have spoken to a few people in the industry and it appears this company is giving less power rating than what they are advertising

    • Hrmm I just ordered a folding 250w from outbax and the size just doesn't work out.
It's only around 1 sqare meter so it would have to be 25% efficient to achieve its rated output, I suspect its a 180 or 200w panel :(
Also the non folding panels are closer to reality, however they would still have to be around 21% efficient and I just don't see how they would do it at this price…

      I'll find out soon enough!

Got my 250W panel today, its terrible quality, and only puts out about 7-8 amps. I actually got more amps when i tried my 150w panel. Very dissapointed indeed

    • How are you testing it? Where do you live?

      • +1

At battery world, my friend works there. Since when is a 150w panel more powerful than a 250w? like i said with both plugged into my vitron 20amp controller (not at the same time)the 250 got 7 and my 150 got nearly 8. tested within 10 minutes of eachother at about 12pm today

        • Ok these guys are complete liars. Ordered a 250w folder, they sent me a 0.83 x 0.67m per panel 160w that they claim puts out 250w. Litterally impossible for a panel of this efficiency. Just not enough surface area. The legit ones are 1.13 x 0.67 per panel.

          Buyer beware!

        • @FickleRick: I rang them and basically called them liars. They're arranging a courier pick up for the solar panel, I'll get my money refunded. I suggest you do the same!!!!
