      No, it's the registry having a massive first year discount for new .co registrations several registrars are discounting them heavily because they get a discount from the registry to do so at the moment.

      Neustar also is acting like a disgruntled girlfriend that you can't get rid of after auDA replaced AusRegistry owned by Neustar as the registry service operator for .au with Afilias.

      https://www.ausregistry.com.au/ If you go to that website they heavily push you towards .Melbourne, .co and .Sydney domain extensions. Neustar have contracts to operate registry services for all three of those and all of them have been on discount heavily constantly for the last six months.
