    Terms condition sucks, didn't read.

    Single use only and leftover credit is forfeited???
    Or is it my misinterpretation??

    • +8

      You’ll find this has always been the case with eBay Woolies vouchers.

      • +1

        Shucks, thought it'd be like a gift card :(

        • +2

          Yeah eVoucher not e-gidtcard

        • Reason for your neg?

        • +2

          @MathNerd: I agree with @Zeral. @tightarse's counterargument is a logical fallacy: "always been the case" a good deal does not make.

        • +4

          @wisdomtooth: Did you tip your fedora when you thought of that?

        • -1

          Only Fedora I know is this one, @Clear.

        • +1

          @wisdomtooth: Even worse. Enjoy your invalid neg going.

        • +2

          @Clear: "invalid"? Why?? o.0

          I think it's a bad deal. Don't we all have a right to opine here?

        • +7

          @wisdomtooth:

          You negged with literally only a link to a Wikipedia page, explain how that doesn't constitute an invalid neg?

        • +2

          As I already said to @MathNerd, @doweyy, I agree with @Zeral's argument: terms condition sucks. @tightarse's counterargument is a logical fallacy: "always been the case" a good deal does not make.

        • +4

          @wisdomtooth:

          LOL! So I might as well go around now and neg everything because the OP just mentioned a fact in the comments? In the meantime I'll link a Wikipedia page to back up my neg (which has nothing to do with the deal), good idea, thanks!

          Just because you don't think it's a good deal, doesn't constitute a neg.

        • -1

          @doweyy:

          Just because you don't think it's a good deal, doesn't constitute a neg.

          It doesn't?

          “I don't like this deal”
          “I don't think it's a good deal

          Guess you just gave up reading when you thought that you had a "major issue" with the OP lol.

        • -3

          @doweyy:
          He has issues with the deal… Can neg it if he wants. It's probably worse when people like you are saying what people can and can't do.

        • +4

          @Monstalova:

          I didn't make up the rules. It's invalid as per the guidelines set by the mods.

          I'm sure you understand how it feels to get negged for no reason considering you have 0 deals.

    • But a years worth of toilet paper.

      • I recommend adding some gastrostop as well if you use that much toilet paper.

  • eVoucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other Woolworths or eBay offer,promotional code and/or discount.

    Wonder if you can buy using eBay vouchers purchased with Wish giftcards?

  • +14

    Would have jumped on it, having to use it all in one go sucks…

    • +13

      Yeah, it's for families pretty much.
      You're saving money by not having one.

  • +1

    if I buy say $200 voucher giving me $240 and I spend $300, can I pay $240 with voucher and $60 with a normal CC?

    • +5

      Yes, you'll use teh voucher in the promotional code section, and then you'll be able to enter your Credit Card, Gift Card, or PayPal account per normal.

  • +5

    Think I'm still going on the last 6 I bought. 2021 expiry date is great though. Make sure you spend the full amount of the voucher then I typically spend another $20+ on my credit card in case there are out of stock items etc so they can just refund the card.

    • Highly unlikely, they are also good with knowing stock level online.

      • +1

        It depends on your selection for the out of stock items. By default, they offer a replacement with something similar (strawberry yoghurt instead of raspberry, for example). I usually pick to not replace anything, so quite often getting out of stock codes.

        Btw, for wollies is hard to know the exact stock for exact moment, as they always may have some amount in shopping baskets - which is not paid yet, but effectively already sold.
        The fact that they pick up online orders just before delivery/pick up window make predicting stock even harder.

      • +6

        Actually we shop with Woolworths online fortnigtly and going by our history it’s highly likely that something will be out of stock. They don’t pack your order until the night/few hours before the delivery time so items that were in stock when you ordered can easily go out of stock before the order is packed. We have something out of stock 9 out of 10 times!
        Also, lithius is correct - they will first refund up to what you’ve paid by credit card and then anything over will be given as a future online credit. You can request the credit to be transferred to an e-gift card though for use in store :)

      • +3

        I've ordered from Woollies online three times. All three times one item was out of stock. Probably not typical but clearly happens.

      • +1

        That’s not been my experience. Every single order I’ve made has had at least one item, often more out of stock.

        Though that can be a strategic advantage sometimes when you need to meet say a $150 minimum spend to get say $15 off, because they refund you on the out of stock item(s) making the discount a higher percentage of final spend…

    • +1

      You don't have to spend the extra on cc. If something is out of stock, they issues a refund code, which can be used for future shops, and can be used with other codes usually.

  • +2

    $350 is pretty hard to get to.
    Who usually buys $350 of grocery at one go

    • Can you stockpile liquor?

    • +3

      our weekly grocery shop is $300 easily

      • +1

        Impressive, for a family of 5 we spend around 150.

        • +1

          You need to have a family of 10. Give missus a break with adoptions.

        • +1

          @orangetrain:

          LOL I would love to adopt and have a larger family, but it's really hard to adopt in Australia. But maybe one day!

        • +2

          We have five too, but when you have two ceoliacs and a nut allergy there no such thing as a cheap shop. Everything costs extra to be Gluten Free. Every shop is about $250, and there is no lamb anymore.

          But I no complain. Became GF is so trendy, there is one heck of a lot more choice than there used to be, making it easier, if not cheaper.

    • +2

      We spend 300 plus every week without trying.

      • In one go??

        • +2

          Yes. And using two trolleys every other week is not unusual.

        • -3

          @TightBottom:

          Impressive, for a family of 5 we spend around 150.

        • +1

          @Zylam Marex:

          You live on 2 minute noodles?

        • -2

          @TightBottom:

          Nah, just calculated I guess. But my weekly doesn't include everything, I split things up. Everything included is around 300 for us too!

    • In our household, a family of 5, I split the groceries into weekly and monthly lists. The monthly stuff I buy in one go, ends up being around 600-700. My weekly stuff is usually around 150.

      • +3

        Week 1 (monthly): $600
        Week 1 (weekly): $150
        Week 2-4: $150 per week = $450
        Total: $1200
        Average: $300 per week

        • LOL wow you are right. I'm gotten so used to my split lists I don't even think straight, I just assume everyone does the same.

          Nice!

        • @Zylam Marex: what is the purpose of this? To get better voucher offers?

        • @spillmill:

          Just convenience for me, so I can grab the large amount in one go once a month, and only have to bring smaller items every week like bananas/bread etc.

          However I did notice I've saved more this way because I usually get more points per shop, and stock up on half price items quite heavily in one go. Like the oil we use is 18 for 4l, was half price last month and I got 5, instead of getting one every 2 weeks.

          Pretty happy with the setup. And in cases like this where you get evouchers where you need to use the full amount and the cashback stuff, it does help.

    • Can I push a trolley of groceries onto a bus or train?

  • +8

    Title should probably emphasize SINGLE USE ONLY.

  • Wow - only 2 weeks before expiry. I’ve bought these before and had 2-3 months expiry.

    • +7

      only 2 weeks before expiry 3 years and 2 weeks…

      10:00 AEST 13/08/2018 to 23:59 AEST 26/08/2021

      • +9

        Don’t forget the extra day on 29/2/2020

      • Sorry - my bad - Thank you

  • Is there another 10% off site wide coming?
    Got like 1k worth of shit it my cart waiting…

    • From WW, you're gone be eating a lot!
      Also Berry to do smaller shops when things are in special. Not saving that much when on standard price.

      • +1

        No I meant an ebay 10% off site-wide (not woolies). About $1,000 in my ebay cart waiting for a 10% off site-wide deal, but growing impatient.

        This deal isn't worth the effort for me, I don't spend that much in bulk, have a small house with a small fridge.
        Besides, I shop at coles right now to get those stupid plastic toys for my kids.

        • There was 15% off sitewide via US few days ago. A bit of work could have saved you more than 10%

        • @Jimmy007: Yeah, but that excluded tech. 90% of what I'm buying is tech.
          Got it up to $1,200 now so will hate it if we get a 10% off in the next few weeks lol.

        • @idonotknowwhy: where does it say that? I bought an SSD and a mobile and worked fine. Even tried it on xiaomi vaccum and Kogan tv that I posted here as a deal.

        • @Jimmy007: (profanity), dunno, I read it somewhere, perhaps in the comments

        • @idonotknowwhy: lol well you missed out but the discount was capped at US$100 anyway

        • @Jimmy007: Missed out on $38.20 then.

          Vouchers -AU $61.80

          Going to pull the trigger and then just avoid Ozbargain for the next few weeks lol

  • -2

    I think the figures in the title need to be switched.

    $170 for $150 | $240 for $200 | $350 for $300 |

    Eg Why would I want to spend $350 for $300 value in cards.

    • +5

      1L shampoo for $3
      1 box of tissues for $1
      One TV for $500

      x for y

      What you get in return —-> x for y <—- What you pay

      • -1

        99% of ozbargain titles are edited to have the bargain price first then the RRP or street price second. The current order is just messing with my head.

        • +1

          $350 for $300 (Was $350)

  • Never used these before.

    Can I use one and an egift card in the same transaction?

    • Yes, but why would you if you don't need to? These are already high cost.

      • Because my shop may get up to 300. Pretty common.

        Just not 350. And if it won't let me keep the balance, that'd suck.

  • -2

    Anyone ever gone to the self serve checkouts and purchased Wish Gift Cards (in smaller denominations) with these E-Vouchers?

    • +1

      Online only.

  • “Any refunds for items purchased using eVouchers via Woolworths Online will be issued as credit for use at Woolworths Online at a later time.”

    If I placed an order of $400 during the promotional period and then canceled that entire order, would they issue a $400 worth of credit which I could use even after the promotional period expired and in multiple transactions?

    • +1

      Suggest leaving a grape or something on your order.

  • +2

    These used to be fantastic to use with the old meat policy at woolworths but unfortunately they changed the policy a couple of months ago- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/378045

    • This is the most annoying change!
      Most of the time we didn’t get enough (ie. cutlets, etc) so we stopped buying meat online (and altogether) from Woolworths.

    • By providing ordered items more closely in weight to what you ordered, this also aids in our efforts to reduce food waste.

      That's the annoying part. Why do they have to make up excuses like this? We don't need an explanation, especially not a lie.

      • There is a career at Woolworths for Environmental Bullshitism. The reason for the change is because of greed not the environment.

        Woolworths must take all Australians for mugs. If you are going all green you do not package fruit and veggies in plastic when they already have their own natural protective cover.

    • Well that sucks. I didn't care about getting extra but these vouchers were convenient to stock the fridge/freezer. I'd struggle to spend $200 without ordering meat, but a quick browse shows you potentially pay $5-15 more per item before you are refunded the difference. They haven't even attempted to offer small ranges in weight either for most products. Upto 1.5kg variance. Good luck planning your meals around that, spending more money upfront and getting inconvenienced with a refund at a later date.

  • Want to get A2 formula for the baby but didn't see it on woolly online website.

  • Can you buy gift cards online with this?

    • Nope, can’t buy these from ww online

    • I just checked and you can add giftcards to cart on Woolworths online

      • Yeah it might stop you depending on type of payment

        • I just read terms/conditions on Woolworths and can only purchase with credit card..
          Bugger

      • Can you go through checkout (if you have a Evoucher)?

    • Anyone tried it with mobile phone recharge or sim card package?

  • Love these deals save me heaps.

  • -1

    I can't see this anywhere explicitly in the terms listed here - but is it against the terms of use to resell these gift cards?

  • How long does it typically take to get your voucher codes. I assume you get an email from Woolworths, is that correct?

    • +1

      In the past I've had them emailed within a couple of days. One email with however many codes you purchased.
