Pretty good deal for a 120gb SSD, assuming you have Ebay plus. If you don't, I believe the free trial is still going, or it should be around $10 delivery give or take.

That seems alright. I could use another cache drive in my unRaid box.

      • +2

does kogan jack off as well ?

    • +3

Maybe we see some better deals? By like 50c or so. Dont think I've seen SSDs much lower than this.

You're forgetting about our old friend Jack Price. Still probably worth waiting though.

    • Kogan isnt on the list tho ?

  • +4

I got $10 voucher and brings down the price to $20.88, thanks op!

    • from where

      • Probably one of the random targeted ones they email to you. Happens every now and then when your account isn't very active.

        • Yup targeted.

        • I got a bunch when my camera came 2 days later than they "guaranteed" Not gonna complain.

  • Don't need this. So tempting.

    • Exactly my reasoning haha. Just bought a 500gb 860 Evo, but for $30 it's a hard pass.

  • +1

Don't need one, got one anyway. Can't let it pass at this price. Thanks OP!

Gotta spend money to save money!

  • how could I install this in a intel inspiron 3650? already has a 1tb hard drive, would it have the cables already attached on the motherboard from factory? and support the ssd without anything else?

    • not sure about 3650. but usually, you can just swap your 1tb hard drive with the SSD. plug in the same cable connected to your 1tb hard drive.

      • +1

        Lol I doubt he'd want to swap out a 1TB to install a 120Gb

        • +2

Depends what it is being used for now

        • +4

          @ONEMariachi:

True, maybe he got rid of his prawn stash and streams it instead now

    • you need additional sata cable if you're not swapping out the 1tb hdd

    • Unplug the sata cable to DVD drive and plug this in.

  • Can you make it into an external?

    • +1

Yes, if you have an external 2.5 inch enclosure. Costs from $9-29 I think.

      • So something like this would be good?

        • Yep would go great together

  • +2

Building a PC and snagged up this awesome deal. This a good $15 cheaper than anywhere else. Will make for a nice compact SSD for OS. Cheers OP!

  • +1

    wow this is cheap

  • I'm thinking of using something similar as a backup drive when travelling - how do you think it compares to a phsical HDD? I'm thinking physical shocks will kill/corrupt a HDD but perhaps ESD would kill/corrupt a SSD?

    • +1

      It's safer than a HDD.

      • Thanks

  • How is in genera the quality of this?
Compare WD green? I am thinking to change my hdd desktop
