They have the same laptop for $2065.30.

I believe it is the exact same thing?

Any experience with direcdeals_au?

And then they have the same model (in platinum silver) for 1000$ more?

I don't get it.

Got the same, just with 500GB NVME drive instead of 1TB, a couple of months ago from Amazon US delivered and with all import fees for $1750 - including the pen. I miss those days. ;)

Edit: Actually mine's got the better processor and dedicated graphics. Phooey Mr Harvey!

I guess my point is, shop around as this isn't any sort of amazing deal.

    • Thank you!

    • The first deal looks very good, yeah. About 1K off RRP I think.

  • I got a i7 8550 16GB 256 SSD FHD refurb from grays for 1100 after all coupons and cashback. Unit has some minor cosmetic, but was near perfect.

Worth looking into if u want a Yoga 920.

    • You got lucky, yoga one I got from them was noticeably used…YMMV…good luck

As someone who's on that whole "Boycott Harvey Norman because: F*** you, Gerry" bandwagon… I'm just going to throw in my 2 cents here.

    I personally (about 4 days ago) purchased a Yoga 730 13" - i7 8550 16GB RAM 512SSD for $1154.99USD from Lenovo's direct US site (https://lnv.gy/2MQGUcN)

With Global Warranty on their products, I couldn't find a better deal elsewhere.
Yes, I'm having it sent to my Shopmate address which will charge me GST, however - it still ends up being much cheaper than Lenovo's Aus RRP of $2519.00AUD.

On a side note, my credit card was declined a bunch of times due to it not being a US-issued card - However I was able to successfully make payment using PayPal when doing the transaction on my phone (yes, only on my phone, PayPal still declined with an error on PC… weird)

    • How is this going for you? I'm considering doing a similar thing.

What did the total cost come to for you?

      Thanks!

  • This isn't cheap is it!?
