  • is that 30000 pieces?

    • Yes

      • +9

It is a bit waste if we throw it away.

Please don't throw batteries out in the general waste, the toxic chemicals and metals can leak when they erode in landfill and contaminate the environment.

Aldi, Officeworks, Ikea and Battery World have drop off points where they take them for free and recycle them.

        • +7

          Thank you for your advice.
We have a business partner they can recycle all types of batteries.

        • Big fan of TechAroundYou - i've bought their gear before and they stepped up well beyond the call of duty when an issue of my own making arose.

Gutsy call on the non-genuine ('fake' if you must) Duracell as well. Not only have they been open about it, they're giving them away.

What more could you ask for?

…can leak when they erode in landfill…

          Corrode in landfill, punk.

  • We can also run a deal for flashlight batteries such as 18650 20700 18350 18500 26650 and so on.
Let me know what you guys after.

    • +1

Genuine Samsung 18650 deals are always good news!

      • +4

        For flashlight?

        We have Samsung 26F 25R 30Q 35E.
I will add all 35E 3 versions (flat top, button top, button top with PCB)in the post soon.

    • Was just checking your store out on ebay today for some 18650s for a vape mod - guys in vape stores warned to never buy on ebay due to counterfeit/fake/rewrapped cells and I was hesitant. But I'm now even more tempted to purchase from you after seeing your ozb post.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152675612885 - Your listing was the only "genuine" one with good prices and reviews - also mentions "Genuine LG Samsung Sony Batteries +2 offic Certificates" in subheading but couldn't find any other mention of authenticity certificates. Do you provide any proof of authenticity?

Any deals on flat top versions for LG HG2, Sony VTC5(A) & VTC6??! Better than your prices on ebay for 2 or more etc

P.s flat top Samsung 30Q $8 each for 2 or more was missing in your post - https://www.techaroundyou.com/Vape-Batteries-Australia-Melbo…

      • Hi
You can send an email to [email protected] to ask Samsung LG certificates.
We have been supplying batteries to around 90 Australia vape shops.
In addition We will not do deal for LG HG2 VTC5A VTC6 25R 30Q, as Sony and LG are not willing to supply batteries for vaping purpose. You may find there is warning on the wraps of almost all VTC and LG batteries.

For vaping batteries I suggest you use Golisi batteries, you can check Mooch's testing report for Golisi. 30Q is suitable for almost all 18650 devices except mechanical devices (vtc4 5a Samsung 30S golisi S26 are ideally for mechanical devices ).

  • +4

    non-authentic duracell

Are these the Durabell batteries? I've been looking for them for my Shrap calculator, Panafonic TV remote and Sauny radio. ;)

PS: You mean grey imports right?

    • +2

I have to say no, these are fake Duracell batteries, but the quality are still good. We do not want to sell fake batteries, but you can use it as normal aa aaa batteries.

  • -1

    What does non-authentic mean?

    • +1

      Fake, cheap shit.

      • +3

Haha reminds me of this shop.

        • +1

If I expected any example from you it was a watch example XD

          Also why not R+M?

        • +1

We tested all batteries before we sell it. Lol.
That is why we do not want to sell them. It is safe to use them.

        • -1

          @TechAroundYou:

Do you have any non-authentic Enyloops?

        • +1

@WatchNerd: Hi Sorry, we do not have. If this happened again, our business will be in trouble.

    • +2

      Genuine fake.

    • Means not Duracell batteries, you can use them as normal AA/AAA batteries.

      • -1

        Then they're not non-authentic Duracell, they're generic.

        • but they have Duracell branding on them

        • @phunkydude:
Yes that is why I called it non-authentic Duracell

        • -1

          Then they're not non-authentic Duracell, they're generic.

You've got it all wrong @potplanty.

They are simply non-genuine (or non-authentic) Duracell's that have (inaccurate) Duracell branding on them.
You could notionally take a cheaper brand cell and label them as Duracell - doesn't mean they are generic.
The OP had it perfectly correct the first time - there's no need to dumb down and use the word 'fake' everywhere.

Lucky i'm here to spread the word of the Lord.

    Non-authentic Duracell

    You mean illegal reproductions?

We do not want to sell fake batteries

Non-authentic means fake. Are you kidding?

    • +1

I have revised it as fake.

    • +10

What are you not understanding? They don't want to sell them so they are giving them away for free with a purchase of their other products.

      • The wording.

        • +3

          Non-authentic means fake. That's right.

          Non-authentic = imitation = fake

        • @phunkydude:
Maybe they're Duracel and not Duracell.

      • +5

Pick up for free, you do not need to purchase anything.

  • 14650 batteries would be good

    • +1

We only have 14500 in stock

      • i meant do a deal on them

        • But we do not have 14650. We can run a deal for other type batteries.

        • @TechAroundYou:
          sorry misread your response.

  • Free?

    • Yes, free AA AAA batteries.

      • -1

        from 20 bucks o.O

      • -3

Can I grab the lot and how much do you think I could get for them on eBay?

        • A suspended sentence if you're lucky.

  • Not meaning to be controversial or to discredit you in any way, but how did you come by that many fake Duracons, where you duped?
And can you 100% guarantee your other batteries are absolutely genuine and also not very well made imposters?

    • +4

      Hi
Regarding to lithium batteries, we have been doing wholesaling around 2 years and supplying over 20K lithium batteries per month for over 100 shops. We only import it from trustable suppliers. In terms of chargers We import whole containers chargers directly from Efest and nitecore factory.
As we mentioned , we have tested batteries before we sell them.

Duracell batteries is a bad case, because the supplier is my friend. He told me he help us to order it from duracell factory. We believed in him.

This will not happen again, as we will try to import everything directly from manufacturers.

      • Presume he's not still your friend!

        EDIT: were not where

        • +7

          He is still my friend.
He ordered it from his friend and paid half of our loss.

        • +1

@TechAroundYou: That's fair enough. How could you tell they were fakes?

        • +4

          @TechAroundYou:

Great to see an honest and genuine store rep in here OP, good work :-)

          P.S. r/18650masterrace

        • I have a no-friend policy to avoid such issues.

          Working so far.

        • @TechAroundYou:

Sounds like a lie from your friend's friend

  • Wow. Ozbargain finally scored me something I was actually after :P

And by that, I mean NiteCo charger, the free batteries thing should maybe be its own post?

  • is there a limit? i am after a dozen each - AA/AAA

    • +2

50 PCS each for a person as we do not want someone to sell it.
      Personal use only.

      • -2

great so 50pcs AA + 50pcs AAA is ok? I want to get some for my walkie talkie and some desk clock. So just drop into your store and ask for it?

        • Yes. Free for pickup

  • +2

Note to anyone buying a charger: many of these chargers DO NOT charge eneloops.

The ones I can see, have model numbers starting with SC and Q, possibly others. These chargers do li-ion batteries ONLY.

The models starting with D and I will charge both NiMh batteries (e.g. eneloops) and li-ion batteries.

    • +2

      Yes
All efest chargers and Nitecore Q and UM series charger cannot charge ni-mh batteries.
I2 I4,D2 D4,I8,SC2,SC4 do charge both lithium and ni-mh batteries

      • My mistake, I've read the specs again, and the SC chargers do charge NiMh batteries.

      • There's no D4 on sale?

    • Who needs eneloops when you've got 18650's…?

      • Show me a remote control that takes 18650 batteries! Or a clock, shaver, etcetera. Are removable 18650 batteries used in anything other than flashlights?

        • +4

laptop battery, but unfortunately laptop battery stupid design doesn't make it easy to change the bad cell which makes ppl buy inferior non-genuine laptop battery and throw away their good cell.

Seriously these companies talking about recycle program yet they don't make it environmental friendly by letting you change the laptop battery cell. It will end up with more waste from an whole old laptop battery unit and the crappy one bought on ebay.

      • Me, as i prefer batteries with virtual zero risk of blowing my surviving testicle off.

  • Nice to see you posting again OP. And thanks for the deals on the 18650s!

    • +1

Will add more batteries tomorrow such as samsung 26F LG MH1 panasonic NCR18650BD
May be 26650 5000mah batteries if anyone needs.

      • +1

Whats the difference between button tops and button tops with pcb ??

        • +3

Pcb is usually low voltage and current protection. You might see the term "protected" in these batteries.

Always better getting protected batteries unless you're using it for high drain situations like flashlights or vapes, the amp protection will always trigger.

        • @krisspy:

I thought all button tops were protected ?

  • +1

Are you able to sell the nitecore UNK1 battery charger?

  • Awesome, ordered some of the batteries.

If it's not too much trouble would you be able to throw in a few of the fakes? Forgot to ask at checkout. My order number is 620. Thanks!

  • +1

Looking at getting some new 18650's for my vape. Which brand do you suggest I get?

    • Vtc6

    • +1

It depends on what mod you use and watts you vape at. Not all batteries are alike. If you are just vaping at low watts and not building Sub Ohm coils or using Tubes then most well known brand 18650 batteries are safe. The Samsung 30Q is also very good…as are LG, Sony &, Pansonics. Much prefer those over Efest.
Just make sure you get the right tops. Button Tops wont fit into a device that reqire a flat top. Stupidly I accidentally bought 4 button tops a couple of months back. Doh!

      • I currently use an Eleaf ikonn 220 @ around 70W with a 0.30ohm coil.

        • Samsung 30Q and golisi S30 3000mah 20A batteries are suitable for almost all 18650 vape devices.

  • +1

Alright guys im going to be the noob and ask which is the best battery and charger for the BLF-Q8. Im guessing the samsung 18650 nipple top would be the go to?

    • +1

That's the one I got for mine 30q. Works fine.

The charger I got was the Liitokala Lii 500. Got this charger because of the good reviews, and can also test battery capacities.

  • Good deal OP. I hope there's enough stock to survive the rush of ozbargainers. Personally I cannot decide which ones to buy right now (yawn). If there's stock left tomorrow morning I'll order based on ozbargainers' recommendations.

    • Hi
do not worry about stock, we import a few containers of nitecore efest chargers

  • OP you might want to add a link to the D4 charger in the description.

  • +1

Those battery prices aren't sales though, they are usually at that price if you buy 2 or more, or am i missing something here?

    • Pricing is decent enough and more the fact that there is a variety available along with chargers for those in need (incl free shipping).

  • Which 18650 batteries I should buy for torch? Protected or non protected…??

  • What’s the difference between nipple top and button top…?

    • From my limited experience into batteries.. No difference.. Can call them either.

      • Thanks

  • 14500 batteries? And what's the best charger for a 14500 Lithium battery?

    • I think K2 or K1 maybe, because these chargers are so cheap + 3 years warranty +easy to carry.
We have Efest 14500 batteries in stock. If you are interested in it, we will list in our website.

  • Hi. Do you ship 18650 batteries to New Zealand? Thanks.

    • Hi
      Sorry we do not

  • Hi OP.

I am interested in a charger. I am thinking something like the Nitecore SC4.

In addition to just vanilla charging of batteries, I want a charger that can identify:
    * the health of a battery (good or bad)
    * the actual charged capacity of the battery (to confirm my 3400mah cells are actually 3400mah)
    * revive fully discharged 18650 batteries

The other charger some people suggest is the Xtar Dragon or the SkyRC MC3000 or the LiitoKala

    What are your thoughts?

    • Hi
      please check this
      https://flashlight.nitecore.com/product/sc4

I think SC4 will do all job you listed

      • For what it is worth, the SC4 will not revive fully discharged batteries, nor does it analyse batteries.

The LiitoKala can't revive but does analyse.

I have gone with the XTAR

  • Panasonic-Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh battery:
    https://www.techaroundyou.com/Panasonic-Sanyo%20-NCR18650GA-…
    2pcs $16 ($8.00 each)

On the website, it is showing $16.98 for 2.

Do you sell storage box for the 18650 cells?

    • Sorry for the mistake, will correct it.
What kinds of battery case you are after?

      • Which 18650 batteries I should buy for torch? Protected or non protected…??

        • I think PCB one is the best, but it depends on if it can be fitted in your devices or not.
