To help you understand, what you said is subjective and others do not feel the same way. They're actually very comfortable to wear, connect very well to iOS devices (or anything with Bluetooth) and convenient to carry. Good sound output and fantastic for calls and Skype for Business etc. They're very very good and better than the alternatives. Yes, they are the new Bluetooth headsets. What's wrong with that?

I recently got a pair of these via Qantas FF points (on "sale").
They are hugely convenient, for times when you can't use over-ear headphones. They integrate seamlessly with your iPhone, and they detect when they're in your ears and turn themselves 'on'/'off' accordingly
I was not prepared for how much of a step down they were in terms of qualify vs over-ear cans (in my case Bose QC IIs).
In retrospect, of course in-ear buds can't compete with immersive, noice cancelling ear-muffs. I guess I had forgotten how big the gap is, so this is a heads up.
