    After they let me down with Monster Hunter yesterday I decided to preorder elsewhere with Spidey. They still haven't shipped to any monster hunter preorders afaik. I ended up getting JB to price match them. TheGamesmen have always been good in the past with this stuff and they're a family run Aussie business.

        Called up JB (that's where my pre-order's at at the moment) and they say you'd match it on release date meaning if Amazon jumps back to $69 on release date we're SOL. Are we taking this risk? /gulp

        I've had 2 preorders from them, neither shipped before release but Monster Hunter still hasn't shipped for anyone I know which released yesterday.

          My MonHun just shipped today and is coming tomorrow apparently, but I pre-ordered Dragon Quest and Tomb Raider and those were saying they were going to arrive at least 3 days after the release date, so I cancelled them. Not going to bother with pre-orders from Amazon anymore

    Amazon AU usually price matches with OZgameshop, but haven't done so with Shenmue 1&2 Xbox One ($49) but only with the PS4 version ($43.99).

        Hopefully they'll do it, but I doubt they will.

        Problem is, I'll have to wait until release day to find out, meaning if they don't do it, I'll be "forced" to pay 69, either at EB there, or at Big W or JB anyway, the only way to get it for this price might then be through Amazon. And if I place the order on release day, it won't get to me for 2 or 3 more days minimum, and at that point, I'd rather just pay the few bucks extra and get the "free" day one preorder DLC.

        Options are either cancel the EB order now, end up with money on a gift card as I paid it off with trade credit from the preorder promotion, and then end up spending 60 odd bucks out of actual money on Amazon anyway, all to just save a few bucks, and miss out on the DLC as well, shit. I might just stick with EB anyway, but when they ask me to give them the remaining 31 bucks (paid off exactly 69) I'll try to match Amazon first, failing that, then JB's next I guess.

        Good luck either way if you're gonna give it a crack.

          $69 vs $56.45, I'm going $56.45. All those DLC add on's can be unlocked in game. The DLC is kinda like a small cheat for $13.55 PTNEW, (Pay To Not Even Win). I'd prefer EB Games as well, but I doubt I'll be returning this and any benefit to Carrots is outweighed by the savings.

          Not only did their stupid carrots never mean anything to me, but I'm a few thousand over the amount for level 4 anyway, so unless they decide to bring in a level 5 for everyone, they ain't of any use to me.

    How can I confirm whether Cashrewards has worked? the "My Rewards" section of the Cashrewards website hasn't updated, but perhaps this is because it is a pre-order and it won't update until next Friday?

      The actual cashback doesn't show up until after a few days. If you want, you could go to the 'Click History' tab to confirm that it did register your click through and eventual purchase on Amazon.

      tl;dr: It doesn't show up instantly.

    How does the cashback work on preorders? Doesn't your credit card only get charged once the item has been sent?

      In my case, I pre-ordered this late yesterday night and received an e-mail from Cashrewards this morning stating that the cashback has been added to my rewards balance. Looking at the item in the list on Cashrewards, it shows that it is still pending with the following message: The rewards for this transaction are currently pending and is within the confirmation period for this store.

      Nope, and I'm going to filthy about it if it doesn't show up tomorrow. It specifically said release day delivery, so I shipped it to where I'll be tomorrow; not my home address. If it doesn't show up tomorrow; I'll have to wait a week to play the bastard thing, as that's the next time I'll be at the address I shipped to.

      Also, can't cancel and change address as of yesterday as they've already processed the payment.

          That's kinda reassuring. To be fair something similar to this happened to me last time during the Prime Day sales. My package was never marked as "Shipped", but I received it anyway on the day it was expected to arrive. Maybe it was sent via air freight and they have different processes to Aus Post, just as the rep described…

      I never did but I understand why some would worry if they had bad prior experience.

      From my experience with Amazon US (in the US), Amazon CA (in Canada), and Amazon AU here, they have NEVER missed a delivery promise.

      7:23pm here and mine hasn't been delivered sadly. It got shipped via Fastway yesterday (Thursday) afternoon so I'll hold out for another 40 minutes but otherwise quite disappointed. Sydney based here and the facility was only a few suburbs away.
