Multix Cling Wrap Premium Value Pack 33cm x 300m $6.62 (Was $13.25) @ Woolworths

2320

Greetings everyone, I noticed this on Price Hipster and thought it was an excellent deal!

I did a bit of research, and have not found this price per metre cheaper ever before. As per Price Hipster, Cling or Glad wrap never go half price, so I think this is an awesome price!

This is a 33cm x 300m community pack with dual cutting options.

Pick up in store or add it into your online order :)

As always, enjoy!

Once you've used it, some stores have redcycle bins as well!

      some stores have redcycle

      Yep…

      • faster than greencycle?

Make sure it's dry and has no food on it before you scrunch it up

FWIW, I purchased those Agreena silicone sheets. Pack of 4 for 25 bucks and haven't used a cm of cling wrap in over a year, worth checking out if you never want to have to buy again.

Now to get green on you :p Plastic doesn't decompose, every little sandwich wrap or chip packet you had in primary school is still out there somewhere. Recycling will only ever delay the final resting place of plastics so do what you can in my opinion

Lol nah, but it can't hurt to extend it's life by a couple years

Planet earth can fight me for my chip habit if she wants.

      • +2

        First world problem?

    • How about the chip packets and sandwich wrap that went in the fire?

      • the chip packet i put in the oven is now hanging of my kid's school bag

    • wow those Agreena silicone sheet looks amazing thanks for the tip

    • I don't find those silicone sheets to be very good. They work OK on ceramic/glass and not much else. The sheet has to match the top of the bowl so you're going to have to use clingwrap anyway if it's too big or too small. Then you have to wash and dry them afterwards.

For $6 each you'd have to use each of them over 1000 times without them breaking or losing their stickiness for it to have been worth it. This ignores the cost of water as well. Seems very unlikely.

      • Going green in some case is not straightforward. Take cotton vs plastic bags. While using a cotton bag can reduce waste, but it takes so much more energy to produce it, it has to be reused at least 131 times to be greener (lower global warming potential) than a plastic bag. (source, page 7)

Why is it such a big deal to reuse a cotton bag 131 times? That's the whole point isn't it?

I've reused my cotton bag for around 12 years now.

        • +1

The problem with these comparisons is that the point of reducing plastic bags is not to fight climate change, it's because plastic is used once and stays on the earth close to forever. Other materials firstly are reusable and then when they are thrown out, break down over time.

    • I'm skeptical they will work for my use case scenario but I will give it a go. Thanks for the hot tip. Buying now

    • Damnn this is a perfect house warming gift.
      Any deals on this?

    • Thanks mate ..never heard of that wraps before and now will get few…definitely better to avoid plastics when options are available..

    • Might sound silly but there should be sign on evey packing ( plastic packing) showing if not recycled home much sq feet of land it can damage…something like healtstar rating…

    • Lol ive seen plenty of disintergrating chip packs ect?

    • Looks like you triggered the company to get ozbargained!

I received an email about a delay in delivery. :(

    • Avoid using sugar or honey-based syrups and acidic substances as they can cause discolouration and weakness

this warning from the manufacturer turned me off

  • To those who prefer using cling wrap over rubbers

Aldi version slightly cheaper per meter?
    http://offers.kd2.org/en/au/aldi/pdbeU/

    • Yeah and popular apparently.

I went in later in the morning to get this from my closest Aldi a month ago and they were already cleaned out

      • does aldi have the cutting slider too?

125 +votes… so it seems OZbargainers are just going to vote for anything now. I guess this will be good practise for all the elections we'll be having in the next 8 months. ;)

All in accordance with using the voting system as a true indicator of this deal's worth.

  • How does this compare to Glad?

    • +1

this brand doesnt chafe as much as glad when you wrap yourself in it

    • I use these multix 300m packs and the glad 90m ones and haven't noticed any difference. However I don't put them in a microwave and I'm wrapping them onto themselves so not sure about sticking to different bowls etc

  • halloween costume sorted thanks op

  • Use the Cling Wrap like this guy….

This… is actually a good deal, esp. with the slide cutter.

Normal price for "Last Away" 600m x 33cm cling wrap (marketed towards caterers) is about $15 at any Asian dollar shop.
