  • Vendor in title please. OP perhaps amend description to Sunday 2nd September!

    • Thanks- done!

  • I wouldn't pay that sort of money without a trial first. I see you have a 1 month trial, but Sept 2 will come around too quick to fully test it out. I'll be doing the trail though.

Edit: After a closer look, it only gets you six months. OP, you should put full pricing info in the post.

  • We have, sorry should say have HAD, the Family Zone box since Christmas. We persevered with it for seven months and then just unplugged it.
Caution on two fronts; if your child has a ‘cheaper’ android smart phone- slowed it down quite considerably (removed FZ programs and phone ran smoothly again); if your child uses a Chromebook for school (not my choice- chromebooks are a school mandate) the FZ software is very hit and miss- even the schools IT people couldn’t get it running properly every time. And my son gave up asking for help, he’d just sit in class and draw because his internet usage was blocked, even on Authorised sites such as google.
Also, there are a few areas that need significant work to compare to other paid products on the market including-
    1) child’s device usage data, specifics are very minimal, you are not able to fully drill down into the usage percentages to identify specific apps/programs that are being counted within said percentage
    2) no way to specifically allocate lock out time for one app or program- to give a hypothetical, I couldn’t allocate 2hrs/wk for playing Fortnite or Minecraft. I can only allow certain programs to be used within the scheduled ‘Play’ time, but cannot set a cut off for specific games to cut out.
Our Pact is a good program that give additional parental controls (a bit more $ per month, but worth it for us with a teenage boy!)
