General advice only: As far as I'm aware, this is one of the better value sign-up deals in the Health Insurance space. Some providers offer a $200 gift card or Flybuys points to that amount for family cover, however 6 weeks free is likely to far exceed this in value, particularly if you are looking at a higher level of hospital and extras cover. As always, YMMV, so be sure to shop around like a true OzBargainer!

      You use REFER first, than another box appears and you put the 10 digit code in. I found the description of how to use confusing as shit.

        I have an issue on the Join now web form when typing in the Promo code either using "REFER" by itself or when using this in combination with a referral number "REFER1234567890", an error is returned after I punch the apply button "Could not verify the promo code"

        Did anybody receive the same error message?

            @[Deactivated]: I just had a chat with a chat agent to confirm and they had mentioned the offer is not cancelled.

            If I had any issues that they could help me redeem the offer via chat.

            They had also mentioned that anybody with a policy can retrieve their referral unique code via live chat.

            I am just waiting for a friend to provide me his code before proceeding.

      When your friend joins Medibank, if they quote your 10 digit unique referral code and state the promo code REFER, they'll get 6 weeks free.

      Also make sure
      An eligible referral is made if the friend joins eligible combined hospital and extras cover regardless of the scale (single, family, couples, single parent), the friend maintains the eligible cover for at least 30 continuous days and meets all other eligibility criteria

      If still not working, please pm me for an alternative possible way.

      I've spoken to a moderator and they have kindly cleaned up the referral database to ensure no invalid codes.

      I'd recommend you try again using the referral randomizer - this way, you should get a 10 digit code that you can quote over the phone.
