Most retailers sell this for over $6000 after the Cashback promo!!

I am personally a fan of OLED's for their deep blacks and I own one (and love it!), but I have been reading a lot about Samsung 2018 QLED's and their peak brightness simply blowing OLED's out of the water….so,if you're questioning the cost of this tv, use the 2018 OLED's from LG/Sony/Panasonic with similar size/specs for reference which makes it a fair comparison.

  • Any one got 5.5k I could "borrow"

Sure thing, give me 6k and you've got a deal..

Of course QLED blow OLED out of the water on peak brightness.

OLED no doubt blow QLED out of the water for absolute blacks.

All depends which is more valuable to you.

    • The research I've done more leans towards oled's being generally superior unless using the TV for gaming. Only strength of QLED for me is that you can get something almost as good as OLED in 75 inch

  • So, this may be the better option for XBox One X gaming in a bright room than an 'OLED equivalent'?

Yeah probably, Samsungs 2018 TV's also support Freesync with the Xbox One X and S, and have really low input lag.

    • Unless you plan to game outside in direct sunlight LGs oleds should be more then adequate.

      • But my 'better option' comment was based on price, lag, and brightness.

Not sure why that would get a negative vote.
