Xbox One X and NBA 2K19 $299 (When you Trade in Xbox One S + 2 Games) @ EB Games

1690

Just got an email with this offer.

I just upgraded to an Xbox One X recently and this looks like a good deal to me.

Terms thanks to star64 :
Xbox One X trade offer: EB Trade policy applies. Console must be working and complete. 2 games refer to Xbox One games, must be in resalable condition. Cannot be combined with any other offers. Offer expires 22 Sept 2018. Strictly while stocks last. See staff for details.

According to some users and to EB Games on Twitter, you can also trade in an original Xbox One X. Contact your local store and depending on the size of the hard drive in the console, EB Games will give you a similar deal but for a higher price.

Mod: Selling isn't permitted in comments. Use the classifieds.

  • Been going back and forth on this last few days. I've got the GOW4 SE bluish green One S and been pretty happy with it last couple of years tbh. Looks and plays pretty good on the 4K UHD telly with HDR and the Atmos sound bar. Only a casual gamer tho and rest of the time used as the 4K bluray player. Should I take the plunge? Thinking of selling the game if I do and handing in the spare wired controller instead and I was told $310 should be doable. So all up looking at around $250 for the upgrade and with that another couple of years warranty as well I guess. Hmmmm….

      just do it

      • Heart says hell yeah. Head says use that money and buy some Ethereum :)

        • +1

          I sold some Ethereum to buy it :)

        • @Anubis:

          Fair enuf haha

    Can confirm I had used EB world level 2 10% discount. Paid $269 after handing over Xbox One S 500GB console, controller, power cable and HDMI.
    This was in Hervey Bay, QLD.

    Now plan is to sell NBA 2K 19 for $50 which will make the deal $219.

      Some people are so lucky. Would've thought EB staff would be pretty clear about a no-go on that by now.

    • +1

      Wow, i was told they have a message on their screen that says the EB world thing doesn't apply. Lucky you!

  • Does any one know if they allow EB GCs to pay for trade-ins?

    • +1

      Yup.. I paid with EB GC last Saturday

      • Awesome thanks chief. Just realised you can buy EB GCs via RACQ for 7% off. Not bad.

  • +2

    Ok I succumbed to the peer pressure and picked one up. With the EB GC through RACQ came down to $280ish and ended up getting 2K19 (disk instead of DL code) and got to keep my One S controller. Setting it up as I type. Let's see what all this fuss is about.

    • How you kept your one s controller?

      • I handed them the spare wired controller instead.

  • Getting ready to trade my 500GB Xbox one S as others have done. But just noticed that ebgames graphic specifies 1TB, hadn’t noticed it before. Just wanted to verify if this was in the original mail out or has recently changed?

    • Please ignore, just re-read, the 1TB was the Xbox one x spec, no size specified for the Xbox one s. Was just having a minor panic attack :-)

  • Traded yesterday and got the bonus EB trade.
    I reset the Xbox S on Tuesday and after it came to screen to choose country. That means it was reset properly right?
    My gamertag won't be on there?

    • Which store, if you dont mind me asking?

      • Hervey Bay.
        What was weird though was that I was told that the EB bonus was not part of the deal and they had been told at head office that it was not. Then when the trade went though the system, the Eb world bonus came through on the screen.

        • Bugger, not up there til next weekend!
          Thanks for the info

    DONE :-). Had an old PS4 500GB lying around too, so traded in that plus XBOX ONE S Minecarft (Got from the Amazon promo), plus 4 very old games and got the price down to $68. Sold the NBA game last night on Ebay for $50 as it's not my type of game. Amazing EB staff member did everything she could to get the best value out of the trade. Very happy :-).

  • great deal, hope they could do similar for PS4s as well.

    I got some details about this deal, ACTUALLY, OTHER GAME CONSOLEs could also be traded in for Xbox one x:($)
    For any Xbox one s(with 2 games), bring the final price to 299 after addition 50 credit
    XBOX ONE 500GB/1TB 210/220; XBOX ONE 1TB ELITE+EL CONT 240; XBOX ONE X 470;
    PS4 500GB/1TB 280/280; PS4 SLIM 500GB/1TB 290/300;PS4 PRO 1TB 350;
    SWITCH 320;

    It seems that any TWO games of those console could trade in for $20, but I'm not sure.

    Left it to the last minute and traded for this deal. Traded Xbox One S and two clearance PS4 games from Target. Sold the NBA 2K19 token offering postage only on eBay for just under $50. So far, so good.

      Welcome aboard the X ship

    • I am trying to sell it via ebay as well. How you are managing to post it to the buyer. My buyer is asking for the code in msg. I am afraid of being scammed which happened earlier here.

      • +1

        Let them know you will only be posting it out registered because of scammers. If they don't want to wait then give them a refund and re-list it. If you do end up re-listing it make sure you state clearly in your listing that it will only be posted out to the buyer. Good luck.

      • I sold mine through Facebook marketplace. I said Pickup only and next day a guy picked it up

        • I sold it on fb marketplace too but provided buyer the code over messenger

    Glad I caved in and upgraded. Well worth it. Not sure about non-4K TVs but on a 4K telly with HDR the enhanced games look absolutely brilliant. A massive difference over the One S the extra detail, colours, shadows, lighting etc clearly noticeable (do play around with TV and Xbox picture settings to get the best out of it).

      Agree, glad I upgraded as well. Apart from the visuals, just feels more Responsive in general, menus etc, even my IR remote seems to be more responsive.
