          @Kontiki: Hey there. We’ve appointed Interactive Brokers as an external custodian to hold the fund's assets. The custodian is the legal owner of the assets, but not the beneficial owner.

          This means that we do not hold your money, and we are unable to use your money to pay for any of our debts in the unlikely chance that anything happens to Spaceship Capital.

      So how do you use the referral?
      I click on the random referral and it takes you to a page saying you and friend get $20, but directs you to download the app. Once I download the app how do I use that referral??

        Hey singlemalt72,

        When you open up the link on your mobile phone and click through to the App Store or Play Store we track the click and attribute your sign up to the person's referral code that is linked to the page you clicked through from.

        There's nothing else you have to do.

          It's sounds like it wont work but what if i sign up through a referral link and then enter the promo code - do i get 2 lots of 20 or does the promo code only work if i have not come in from a referral link?

          Well the only way to sign up seems like it's via the app.
          My phone isn't exactly old so it means the deal is inaccessible for me because of a software defect.

          It's beyond me how a company like this who only offer their products via a mobile app can't get the app to work on a mainstream brand modern smartphone.

        Don't SocietyOne (or one of the other p2p sites) have a designated fund which they pay out of - and have never had to do it or something (or maybe it was that everyone has gotten their money)

      TBH the Spaceship Index portfolio is as low risk as you're going to get equitywise - I think the free NabTrade brokerage can be argued to be significantly higher risk and people love it here ;)

    I signed up about a month ago. It gets you to put in a payment plan, so I put down $5 a fortnight. I think it was only a day or 2 before the $20 bonus turned up, then I cancelled my payment plan. I could have taken the $25 out straight away, but have decided to keep it in. It has gone up by about $0.60, and if my number comes up from a random referral then I score another $20. Well worth it. Free money.

    The app doesn't work on my Oppo F1, but works on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

        I've been using the app happily for months. Cheapest way for me to get exposure to the global 'index' and only deposit when I want to (which I haven't done for a while as I'm nearing the top of my 5k free tier ;) )

    Tip: I think I'd rather invest in New Nukes = Molten Salt Reactors (w/ No Wasteful + Costly Fuel-Rods)

    But… Most of their designers get investments from other markets… Some angel, others "patient capital" venture …

    So, I don't know any open to Mom + Pop investors..
