Normally there is no link.
You just go in to use and it will show the conversion value as the higher one for Vogue transactions and the normal value for all the other transactions.
Do you have a screenshot? I just logged into my DJs Amex account and don’t see any 30% extra points on VAEFNO transactions, such as DJs and The Daily Edited, just the standard points.

@kerfuffle: I just used it on my Explorer for all my outstanding balance.
Just below each Vogue related transaction, you see the message.
@kerfuffle: In my case, the message only shown when I logged in Amex Web-site using my mobile. The message does not appear when I am using my desktop to login Amex web-site. Try using your mobile to login, you should be able to see the message below each Vogue related transaction.
@Purple: Don’t think DJs Amex is eligible, considering that we already get two/four points per dollar at DJs (happy to be proven wrong if someone else has it on their DJs Amex card). I wouldn’t be able to take advantage of the promotion anyway as I used up all my points on Ticketmaster haha
@kerfuffle: Try going to Use Points link and there i can see 2 sections: one section of transactions show 30% bonus and other set for normal use points

@randomstuff: Yeah I did, but all I can see is like use 10 000 points for $50 credit. I only have 1500 points anyway haha. Oh well!
My good guess is that is gateway points. I remember getting more credits for gateway points on offer.
@dbui8743: I think OP has Explorer and we have Edge. Thus the lower points redemption, ours is a higher earning card at supermarkets compared to the Explorer

Excellent deal for those that want/need to use their points to convert to "cash" (by way of paying off statement balance), but terrible value for those using points to purchase premium flight tickets.
Careful, I just realised that my redemption for 1000 Membership Rewards points is = $9.10, not $9.63 as mentioned by OP. I manually work it out, my redemption should be same as OP ($9.63) as well. Not too sure why Amex only give me 1000 membership points for $9.10. Have anyone offer different redemption rate?
What AMEX card do you have?
Edge gives $9.10 and Explorer gives $9.63
I have 2 very old Amex products: Amex Gold charge and Amex rewards card. Amex does not issue these kind of cards anymore. But if you work out the conversation rate with other gift card'S redemption rate on the web-site, is 13500 points for $100 gift card, so normal redemption without the promotion is 1000 points = $7.407. Now with Vogue retail offer 30% promotion, 1000 points = $9.63. The calculation should all be the same = $7.407 + 30% = $9.63. Therefore it should work out to the same redemption rate ($9.63) regardless what kind of cards you are holding .
Amex web-site clearly said that " Vogue retail offer 30% promotion", it did not say " Vogue retail offer 'UP TO' 30% promotion ".
The essential card's got 1000 = $9.63
