Greetings everyone, I believe this is the cheapest price for this model by quite a distance, cheapest so far from what I can tell was ~$220 for AU Stock or $197 for US stock from Amazon.

These headphones have received awesome reviews so far, most of the negatives have been the price, but I believe at this price point they're excellent.

I'm sure others will chime in about their experiences with these, I read through the last few threads and was pleased to see some great responses!

Looks like they're available in Silver,Gold and Champagne colours.

  • Same here, tried stacks of codes but all invalid. A working code would be great!

Have the bose qc 35s but they just dont do the trick when at the gym or with styled hair. So looking for a pair of ear buds.

Just wondering… i like wireless lile the bose but are the wirefree ear buds quite easy to fall out or be dropped as your handling them in and out of your ears while on the go, on the trains etc??is one better off getting the Part wire free e.g. with a small wire just linking the two ear buds or ones that go around the back bottom of your head??

And how much better is say the elite active 65t people are mentioning above in comments?? Is it better to get these sports models for somebody who sweats alot at sport and gym - to enable me to sweat all over them or do a quick rinse clean??

Any advice? Having never owned something like this. Bose also does sports… but have see. The jabra in jb hi fi and other catologues a fair bit.

  • +1

Tried all the 700s, none worked. I gave up. Too bad!

  • +2

    No more working codes?

  • Doesn't look like it, would have have been a good catch!

  • Placed the order not long before people reporting it exhausted/fixed. Hope it doesn't get cancelled.

  • What was the source of the coupon op?

    • +1

This is the source, could still try and get a code through there but I think they might all be exhausted!

      • +1

I've got a back-ordered silver one sitting in my cart and a mastercard issued code but it looks like it's already been used.

        • +1

Same story here, my code isn't working

        • @punjabiz:

not surprised since OP told us how it works, but I am surprised Jabra didn't verify the first 6 debit card number with the "unique code". Figured if it was a MC offer they would have a system to check.

      • Thanks for the link. I tried using my MC debit card and got the coupon code in email (which actually worked).

  • Does anyone's code still working and do you guys apply the code at the harvey/jbhifi carts(where it says add a coupon) ?

  • +2

I just got a working code by signing up to the debit mastercard page.
It's a randomly generated code, so maybe they added some more after the _JabraMC codes were exhausted?

For anyone that can't get a code, a JB hi fi shop assistant told me the best price she could do was $209 for these. With 10% off JB gift cards, brings it down to $188.10. It's not the $179.99 from mastercard, but it's close!

    • Yep, it's back working but only Copper and Champagne colours are available. I reapplied for a Mastercard code and received a differently formatted code. I just successfully placed an order.

      • Doesn't work with a credit Mastercard unfortunately….would have loved to have gotten a set of these to replace my airpods that my husband has snitched!!!

        • You don't actually need a card. The 6 digit # they are after is known as the IIN or BIN and is publicly available. The first 6 digits on a card are not unique to the customer.
Go here: https://www.creditcardvalidator.org/country/au-australia or google for Australian credit card IIN list. Pick any number listed as debit mastercard and you will be able to sign up and receive a code.
Edit: you can pay by any means.

  • +1

New code format is out (looks to be completely randomly generated as per the user request). You just need to have an active Debit Mastercard (it ask for the first 6 digits) to sign up https://debit.mastercard.com.au/

    OP maybe update the page?

    • I emailed Jabra yesterday morning to see if they can honour my genuine code, but no response. Looks like this is a go! Thanks for the heads up.

      • They didn't respond to me either. I just requested a new code and it was different

  • I have a spare code if anyone's still interested.

    • Ordered Friday morning, shipped from Hong Kong and delivered to Perth Monday arvo. Can't fault that.

      • Ordered mine late in the afternoon and just got the shipping notif. Should arrive Wednesday in Perth.

      • Did you get an email saying it shipped? I received confirmation emails but no shipping email

        • Yes. With an UPS tracking number.

        • @EVA-01:
          Hmm. Annoying. OK cheers

        • @Moses:
Did you order the copper pair or backorder a silver pair? Silver will ship in 2-3 weeks.

        • @madman697:
I ordered the black on the 14th - people saying they ordered Friday and theirs shipped? Hope it's not going to be a few weeks :(

        • Yep, tracking email with UPS. I ordered silver.

        • @madman697: I backordered silver on 14th. Just got one email untill now for order confirmation. Maybe I would have to wait a few weeks for it.

    • I’ll take the code if it’s still available thx EVA

      • PM'd

        • Any chance you could resend pls, had pms turned off. Thx

        • @my.tbt: done

  • Dupe

  • Code generator worked ok with my MC also, so I was able to purchase for $179.99- great!

Now a question for the techno-nerds out there more techno-nerd than me! Description says “Four-microphone technology gives you effective wind noise reduction* on calls, and advanced speakers that are just 6 mm in size allow you to block out, or let in, ambient sound.”

What is the difference between this and ANC (active noise cancellation)?

Note this model does not appear to be sold as having ANC.

    • I just had a chat with Jabra technical support and learnt a few useful things.

Hear through and active noise cancelling are largely technically incompatible, so since this device has hear through then it is very difficult for you to have Inc ANC at the same time.

The device is also capable of firmware updates, this is achieved through the supporting app.

I also learnt that for the earbuds to work they must be within 8 to 10 inches of each other so it is difficult to give one person one ear bud and another person another earbud

      • Per comment below about already having them - I tried using just one of them in my ear and the other in the carry box and it still worked fine even when I was across the room.

  • I just received my earphones.

Initial impressions are good - however I ordered silver and it doesn't really look like silver to me. Looks like a very pale copper. The contrast of the silver with the Jabra logo for example is very low compared to the silver photos on their website.

I'm OK with the colour though so I'm just going to keep it.

    • Could you post photos of the earbuds ?

  • ordered friday morning received today via UPS. No email tracking number was sent, im guessing they were flooded with orders.

    • +1

I'm hoping this is also the case for me as I received confirmation email last Friday but nothing since :( I even paid for fast shipping

      • Ok, same boat as you.. so went digging, and guess what both the confirmation and shipping emails were are in Junk folders..

Mine says its due next week with UPS tracking, I ordered the copper ones and I am in Melbourne.

Any btw - if UPS tracking is right - it went from Hong Kong - Taiwan - China - Singapore (last location) talk about Australia Post taking too long

        • Can anyone tell me what USPS shipping 'method' you received? I paid $20 for fast shipping, on the 14th,it has only just been shipped today via 'UPS WORLDWIDE EXPRESS SAVER'. can anyone tell me what shipping method the free one was? I have to be honest, the jabra customer service is terrible.

        • @Moses: same method

        • @atlas:
Thanks for that. Jeez that's annoying.

        • @Moses: So when I spoke to their customer service, which took a lot of attempts to get to, they said they were out of stock last week and mine after tracking on UPS just seem to have arrived in Sydney from HK. So your's must've been the same..

        • @hsevin:
Mine says it's due to arrive Friday 28th :/

  • Thanks, op, I bought one, my Blue ant true wireless which I paid 161 from JB is looking a bit old and less sexy than this one. Looks like this is shipping from the US with UPS ground I hope no GST.

I got my code from Mastercard themselves this is a debit Mastercard special and I have a debit Mastercard so I got the code directly from them which was a combination of alphabets and codes.

  • I bought the Active 65t at retail..have had the for a few months. Great pair of buds, non intrusive size which is ideal, and great battery life (+case charging advantage). When I unpacked the item, the new charging case was extremely stiff to open.

The only gripe I have so far is to the design of the case specifically the ease of opening, you kind of have to have firm pressure and push the lid upwards and it will unclip.

Would be better if it was built on tension, with a nail insert or something. Would love to know if anyone else had the same experience.

    • I just got mine today and i really like them so far. I originally had issues with the case but realised if you press inwards on the lid above the clip as you open them it opens super easy

      • Exactly this. Push the lid backwards and then it'll open very easily.

    • +1

A review i saw said to squeeze the sides and it should open ok

  • Does anyone one know if shops carry a demo to try them on?

  • I can confirm that I purchased on back order, which stated "Usually ships within 2-3 weeks" and I received shipping confirmation yesterday that it should be delivered by next Tuesday so quite happy with that.

    • Same here.

    • Same, shipped in around 12 hours

  • just got two more pairs for gifts.
    these headphones are fantastic.
upgraded from my old jaybird x2s

the bass is better, but certainly not bass heavy at all.
    sound is fantastic.
connectivity is great, the auto-off feature isn't 100%
the case is surprisingly small and convenient

was tossing up between these and the bose that was on sale a while back. the bose size was just waaay to big.

absolutely love these. would happily recommend them to anyone.

  • I received my 65T's yesterday and for the most part they are great. BUT, they have very poor bass even when maxed out within the equaliser. I would have thought that being in-ear that the bass would be overpowering and not a problem. Thinking of returning :(

Anyone else got opinions on the bass?

    • Do you have the right size tips fitted?

  • Anyone got a spare code?

Edit: Nevermind - just noticed the updated list from the op. Thanks!

  • received mine today, via UPS. very happy with the connectivity, sound is great, bass is not the best but just ok. App is nice and simple to use. The earpieces are light and comfortable. One problem with battery case, it is almost impossible to open with fingernail. As someone mentioned above if you squeeze the both side of the case and then you should be able to flip the caselid open. Jabra should have mention this somewhere in their instruction booklet. Other than this initial problem, it looks like a great purchase. Definitely recommended. grab it while the code is still available. (free delivery was also quick, ordered last friday) Thanks OP once again.

    • +1

I started opening mine with a slight press on the lid on the side with the clip/fingernail hole, haven't had issues since

EDIT Just found in the manual on page 10 it does actually say to "press the small tab on the lid while opening"

      • thank you for that. i shall check it out later

  • Received mine yesterday too, despite tracking saying it was due tomorrow.

Really impressed with the overall simplicity and ease of use of the package. Sound quality is also impressive, and I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces.

I found the feature where the sound stops if you take the right earpiece out rather impressive.

  • Do these have no APTX or other codec? If not is that something they might add with firmware update?

Feel like for such an expensive set of buds that's a big oversight

    • They support AAC, but not AptX.

Apparently AAC codec exists in Android 8 out of the box - what device are you running?

      • Yep - AAC working great on my S8

  • Wish the active ones were on sale!

  • Has anyone tried to watch youtube with them? Is it good or lag is too significant?

  • For people on the fence like me , Audio Technica and Sennheiser have both launched true wireless buds at IFA2018. Due mid November. They support Apt X.

    • Besides aptx, is there something not truely wireless about these?

      • AptX isn't a "truely wireless" requirement. I think NotAnAudiophile means that in the "truely wireless" class that this, the air pods and other belong to - you know, no wires joining the two buds together!

  • thanks OP ordered 1

  • thanks OP great deal Bought 2 pairs. Almost bought using the Ebay 5% + giftcard and made offer but luckily double checked OzBargain before submitting the offer

  • +1

Thanks OP, ordered one even though I already have these wireless earbuds - Samsung ICONX 2018, Anker Liberty Zolo , ZNT AirFits, Meizu EP51 and the Ticpods free (still waiting for delivery).
ZNT Airfits from Amazon is garbage. Anker Zolo has decent sound but sometimes left ear will lose connection. The IconX 2018 has been great so far.

    • Love to hear how you think they compare with gear ix 2018. I had to return mine due to massive connectivity issues which appeared to be due to the proximity sensor and Samsung could not fix. Think I was just unlucky and got dud pair as I loved them otherwise.

Really like my active 65t now too but think maybe Samsung had better sound and nicer design and ear fit.

      • I'm not an audiophile but I prefer the Iconx 2018 sound. It feels crispier. The Jabra is still using the older USB micro.
The worst part of the Jabra is its case. You have to use two hands and press hard on the lid to open it. It's a terrible design.

  • Is it possible to use the tax invoice from an overseas company to claim TRS?

    • Unless you've both 2 pairs (or other stuff from Jabra) it's not gonna be eligible anyway as it's below the $300 threshold.

      • I bought two
But the adress is not local address

  • Just bought a pair. Thanks OP!!!!

  • Just bought them. Thanks OP. I had been looking around the last few weeks for new headphones and saw these at JB. Then did all the research. I was happy to spend the 299 bux in store for local warranty. But seeing it for this price at the jabra au store! amazing! thanks so much! 6 days till i get em!

  • +1

Now cheaper at catch with 20% off voucher. ($172)

    • Link? Thanks in advance

  • Just got in before expiry!!

  • Thanks OP. Been looking at these and only just saw this deal. Good timing.

  • Ordered today and paid by paypal. On back order said will take 2-3 weeks. Thanks for a great deal.

  • Anyone got new codes?

    • 516361 works

      • Got it working

  • Cool I grabbed a pair. Only the black is on backorder

  • The left earbud seems to be louder than the right earbud. Does anyone else have this issue?

    • Yap, got that for my pair and I returned it back to the eBay seller I bought from.

The problem with Jabra is that its built quality is just not good or at least not consistent. I had 3 pairs of their headphones, all three had it’s own issue and ended up written them off. I had at least 10 pairs of headphones in my 30 years life, I have never broken any of the pairs except Jabra’s. it will say something.

I will never buy one without easy return or repair through shop front.

  • Officeworks price match = $ 170 :-)

  • +1

If you get it price matched at Officeworks you will end up saving another 9 bucks! ;-)
