why does one have to email you sales order to get redemption code if they bought of you

      It's standard practice. Nothing new.

      • Since when?

I've always received a scratch card when I've bought an AMD GPU during such promotions.

        • It doesn't matter if it's NVIDIA or AMD. It dates back further but Watch Dogs was the last one I used.

      • this stuff usually sealed in the box asking for the code from seller just seems dodgy

        • wat

Do you mean the codes are usually in the sealed box? If so, you couldn't be further from the truth.

        • The Raise the Game promotion requires you to obtain a code from the seller, and it was recently launced by AMD so no, there will be no tangible 'certificate' or even a paper with code printed on it inside the boxes.

        • @scrimshaw: Especially since one of the games isn't even out yet lul

        • I bought one of these already.
What happens if you get a code from the retailer then you take that code to AMDs website to redeem.

Entering the code on AMD's website asks for a bit of personal information so it seems harder to actually pull a scam on this one. If they're sensible they've probably tagged each graphics card ID to the actual key to track any potential funny business from retailers.

Also I've only received the key for strange brigade so far, star control and Assasins creed havent been released yet.

your ebay store has a better price though, since $339 + $11.99 Shipping = $350.99, that's a $9.89 saving. Unless they want to pick up, in which case buying directly from your shop is the cheapest option.

Someone posted it here and you should also be able to get a better price with a tracked cashback or some kind of eBay voucher purchased from eBay UK coupon loophole.

Anyway, good price but I've still got my hands in my pocket until AMD announces 7nm stuff.

thought that was a box of Lego

  • The promo prices are actually quite competitive in the current market, even when your competitors on eBay will be offering slightly better (delivered) prices for eBay Plus members (free trial available for all eBay users) once the "eBay Plus members 15% off offer" goes live tomorrow.

I almost feel sorry for how sometimes the market can be very tough due to strategies and tactics by the big players (eg eBay).

    Good luck OP.

  • I got the deal through another seller, asus strix RX580, didn't even know it came with games, AC is cool the other 2 look meh, but it's like 150-200 worth of games which these days is pretty good.
