      hit and miss. depends what operator you get, some wont because its below taxes, but some do from experience

      they wont be able to price beat today as its only for those who have a username/password

        yeah worth a try, but alas by the time you get through and the call centre person spends 10mins trying to replicate your booking on the tiger site, they'll probably be sold out.

        Also Jetstar flight must be within 1hr of the tiger flight.

      Last time I flew my departure was 2hrs late and return flight 3hrs late.

      That’s a total of 5 hours waiting for a for 2 x 50 minute Canberra <> Melbourne flights.

      Then I needed to fork out for a taxi because it arrived back in Melbourne so late all the public transport had finished. Tiger would have to pay me for any of their services to be considered a bargain.

    They have their downsides for sure … but I've enjoyed some ridiculously cheap fares with them.

    I've never tried it, but the price matching with Jetsar, when they have a flight within an hour's of Tiger's, seems a great idea.

      they'll put you on hold to check the prices and when they come back to you, the promo prices will have been snapped up so they wont need to price match it because those prices are 'no longer available'

    Regular price for Melb to Hobart is not $128. Its usually about $40 from past experience.

      yep, just checked. Can get the return flight from hob to mel for les than $30 (not including taxes n sh*t)

      Mel- Ade is $39 one way, but then becomes $49 + $1 return and only if you fly Tue- Thur. They've had $25 one way fights at times before or even less.

    traveled with tiger before, and now only if i have the ticket for free and i have 1 week spare time to wait for the flight also have free accommodation near airport(cancel multi flight is a normal thing for them) or i will not travel with tiger.

    last time from bne to melb, canceled on the first one, have to take the second flight which is 5hours later.
    on the way back from mel to bne, they have cancel 2 fight and the closest flight is in 2days. also it is to Goldcoast not bne. they say thats the best they can do or you can wait until a seat available could be 5days.

    rather pay alittle more with jetstar or virgin.

    my advice..

      it was 'free' for 1 night when my flight was cancelled last time. sent off the claim form (yes, we have to claim for reimbursement!) and that was 6 months ago and i still received nothing.

    Took flights from Sydney to Mel & return back in Feb with family of six, super low fare, service good, no problem at all!

    From what my relatives say who have flown tiger , never again.

    The cancel flights that are not full and shunt you from flight to flight.

    just not worth the headache, especially flying with kids…

    Just letting u's Know the $1 fare is only for one way of the return trip the other fare is normal price. But with it u can go from perth to melb return for $99.95 which is very cheap. But would have liked $2 return more
