    Better than LKK?

    • +3

My preference has always been LKK Oyster Sauce. Amoy ones lack the flavor imo.

      • That's made in China now.

        • +2

My choice is based on taste though, not the country it's made from.

        • Mine is made in Malaysia, but only because I import these privately.

        • Are you really sure ? state Made in HK on Woolie site

        • @Krad3r:

          N/A

        • @dlovep:
LKK are usually made in China, but that "made in HK" graphic is pretty clear, so I'm guessing it's right. Better check a bottle.

The other problem is that they are usually full of monosodium glutamate.

Thai oyster sauce is much better and cheaper imo.

1.8% oyster extracts, what do you expect?

      • +1

Not sure why you got negged for answering the question posed to you in a relevant way (i.e. with your opinion), but thought I’d ‘+’ your comment to even things out. Unfortunately I cannot add anything regarding oyster sauce taste and preference

    • There are many varieties from LKK, depending on which.
      Tastes are very subjective.

  • Good price for this size.

    • Oyster Extractive 1.8% (Water Added, Oyster), which is way too low unless is printing error. Should be over 10%. Maybe it's 18%? Otherwise, no deal.

      • I'm keener on the Soy Sauce, but you have a good point.

  • Don't mind me. I'm just here to borrow some soy sauce…
