SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB Solid State Drive $33 C&C (NSW, QLD) or + Delivery (~$9) @ Umart

220

This has dropped again since the almighty chibot's post. I'm shamelessly stealing his/her description.

Not the fastest or best SSD on the market by any means but maybe suitable for someone just looking for a cheap SSD e.g. Upgrade old laptop.

Capacity: 120 GB
Read Speed: up to 530 MB/s2
Write Speed: up to 310 MB/s2
Interface: SATA Revision 3.0 (6 Gb/s)

  • For anyone who who needs it deliver but prefers to purchase over eBay, cheapest I can see at the moment is $45, less 5% plug5 makes for $42.75, plus CR drops it a touch further, and flybuys points might get you close to $42 neat, same as this.

Decent price either way - thanks OP!

  • stealing his/her description

I've assumed chibot is pronounced She Bot there by implying she is a female robot

    • +1

      Yeah, he's a female robot.

  • Great deal OP! Bots don't have genders.

    PS. Definitely not almighty!

      Fembots say otherwise.

This is rather timely as 1 week ago my 240gb version of this same model suddenly died, completely and without warning.

Stupidly, my backups were not up to date so I headed off to a local data recovery.
The guy there informed me SanDisk SSDs were their most common job by far and they never recommended or replaced with them anymore. He advised Samsung!

I thought it worth mentioning, YMMV - Hell, the day before epic failure it hadn't missed a beat for years and I would have sworn by SanDisk. Funny that!

    • so cheapie kingston are better ?

      • Sounds like it.

    • +2

surfbum, out of curiosity how much did the data recovery cost?

    • Noted, thanks.

    • It’s a prime reason our latest laptop purchase has ssd for boot and Hdd for storage
